Franzen didn't come to the NHL until after the lock-out (read rule changes) and he was either 23 or 24 at that time. Wasn't a case of being a late bloomer, he was arriving physically mature and arrived playing lesser minutes in a 3rd line or role similar.
Your not seriously comparing Darche to Franzen are you?

Interested yes..... To what degree? He makes a decent 5 or 6 dee... Potential to be a four only if he has a strong partner with him

Komisarek makes 4.5, handles the puck like a beach ball, passes like a hand grenade and played top 2 minutes in Montreal with Markov. My point being your partner can make you look good or bad... clear Markov made Komisarek appear better. Gardiner doesn't make Schenn better because of the risks he takes and turnovers/bad situations he creates.
Schenn will never be a big point getter... hence you don't get the flash... you clearly can't have a team of Gardiner or Liles only type defensemen. And you can't have only Schenn or Komisarek style defensemen. Blame Schen when he makes a turnover by all means, but don't be blind to the other guys when they mess up. I'm not ripping on Gardiner because I think he's bad... he's just inexperienced.

He blew after the hit by Janssens period - never was the same player.
Burke fleeced Boston on the trade period.
Carolina signed him for WAY too much money.
Habs got rid of fatso for Kaberle so it was much of a loss to the Habs... and didn't you find it interesting that Kaberle took two or three slapshots last night? I think that was more than he took in the last two seasons with the Leafs.

i don't get how the leafs/and their fans can call Toronto the "center of the hockey universe" when they haven't won anything since 67. they weren't a force in the 70's 80s or 90s really, they had their moments but nothing to earn that kind of title. Even today on hockey day in canada there wasn't one story about the leafs or the veteran/retired players doing anything special for the sport. The fans, ex players and cbc spoke alot about the habs, Boston and their alumni, and nothing about legendary leafs. Albeit its not all about the habs but id put the leafs 5 out of 6 of the original 6 teams as being an influence to the sport, mtl,det,bos,nyc,to,chi. Man did phanuef get burned today... he looked so bad, embarrassing. Lastly ACC has to be one of the quietest and boring arenas in the NHL. Barely an ovation for Sundin and the momentum didn't carry on into the game at all... you could hear a pin drop in that building and its like that almost every game. One day hopefully the acc will be a hard arena to play at like the other original 6 arenas. I feel bad for your team to have to play in that kind of atmosphere. the 2000 Nordique's fans at the Ottawa game today were louder than your whole building combined! - munky123

It's gotta be. He's always been a January trader and now it's February. I'm guessing he goes for something HUGE this year. Probably Nash and Carter I'd say. Jackets need some picks and prospects (maybe d'Amigo) and some vets to guide them through the rebuild (Maybe Komi although he's been playing better of late) - dt99999
