It is to easy to take away the leafs speed. If they can't utilize their speed they should utilize what little toughness they have. sit Conolly and Crabb dress Rosehill and Armstrong. Atleast Rosehill defends his teamates.

I also thought the 4 line was the best line from what i saw. WTF happened to trucelence?

can burke Trade phanuef for edm 1st? Grigorenko anyone? or however one spells his name.

It's even easier when they don't make adjustments. 3 games in a row they look like they were dragging battleships behind them. Clog up the neutral zone and the Leafs and they have no clue how to adjust.

The PP is a joke right now....

Yawn, nothing new.
Leafs are garbage.
It's funny though...about a week ago most on here were saying on they wanted Burke to stay status quo.
A couple of wins and everyone loves the Leafs and they're great....a couple of losses and the world is ending.
This isn't a playoff team.

i'll settle for no playoffs, if it means Ronnie is fired

Yeah, but the likelihood of that happening is quite low. Leafs only team to extend a 3 year looser.

He's not that bad

Leafs don't have a number one goalie... That said Gustaffson is BETTER than Reimer

I hate the Leafs defense pairings... Schenn needs to be with a steady defenseman
..... Actually they should trade him, he is not a good defenseman... At best he is a 5-6 dee

healey is a biased jerk off. and the ancient bed wetter they have doing the play by play is a loser too. all of canada pays for cbc, don't need to have the Leafs PR cheerleading shoved down my throat just because i watch HNIC. the only crazy conservative 'cause' i would support is getting rid of cbc television at this point.

also, how can some of you loopy bastitches be pissy that subban , and i beleive someone wrote 'harrassed' haha.. Kessel, yet also be pissy that your team wasnt getting scrappy and douchey when you were losing?

and before anybody starts to jump on the 'hate subban' crap, gonna want some video proof that he's actually such a jerk, all i ever see are other players whining about him like female doges to the media when he outplays them.

why the hell am i typing this at 2am? im lame.

- zedniksghost

well well... the Subban debate once again... great young player with tons of potential... and as often is the case the brain the inverse size of his talent.

perhaps he would be better off sticking to taking slap shots and covering his man adaquetly at the cost of a lesser number of attempted slew-footings, trash talking and then not walking the walk when some one responds to the bell...

you know exactly what I'm talking about, so take of the Habs blinders and don't support him when he does assinine stuff... the slew footing is only going to get him beaten up... and if he's a good as the Habs fans would have us believe - you don't want him the penalty box, let alone suspended.

that being said Lucic became a better hockey player after getting tossed around by Orr... so perhaps we can wish the same on Subban... but its unlikely - since he won't stand up and fight someone when he does something cheap anyway.

the worst outcome could be having someone slewfoot him in return and him hitting the back of his head on the ice... but then again where there's no sense there's no feeling.

As much as it'd be fun to watch 4 playoff games, I'd prefer this team to miss the playoffs and Wilson gets replaced.

It's gotta be. He's always been a January trader and now it's February. I'm guessing he goes for something HUGE this year. Probably Nash and Carter I'd say. Jackets need some picks and prospects (maybe d'Amigo) and some vets to guide them through the rebuild (Maybe Komi although he's been playing better of late)

Wilson is a great coach. He makes wonderful decisions....... Scratch Army?? And then he complains about the lack of toughness he got last night. Brilliant.

EDIT: Connolly has on goals in like 16 and 2 in like 26..... but lets scratch one of the few gritty guys we have then complain about the lack of grit.

I actually thought the fourth line was pretty okay last night - didn't see the entire game but most of it.

Now the third line, if you can call it that could be a difference maker in games where the top two are not able to generate off the rush. But for that to be the case the third needs to be a tougher grind it out kind of line... and I'm thinking that the "smooth skater - (read effortless take that anyway you like) Tim Connolly" and the "fleet footed - (read Jason Blake clone) Mathew Lombardi" aren't going to bring anything like intensity, physicality, etc... Connelly's obviously pouting at not being on the first line.

I find the debates around coaching interesting with this team. So the penaity kill blows chuncks for what 40 games... and then Napoleon "does something". Now the PP blows chuncks for about the last 10 games, is he going to wait another 30 games before he tries something. Is it just my imagination or does WIlson mix his lines around regularly often with what appears to be any reasons? Then he's down 2-0 and 3-0 at home in a marquee game (ableit largely meaningless) and he sticks to the same lines pretty much all game - when clearly the only group who somewhat generated was Grabovski's line. Goalie struggling... so let's leave him in until there so far behind that it doesn't make any difference. Even Ron's shout's of "let's go" weren't very inspiring last night.

It would seem to me that if the next game is a loss, then Burke may just have to do something radical... and I hope it isn't player related (unless he choses to get rid of Connelly).

And please stop with the Schenn bashing. He's playing with Gardiner, who while he has great potential, is currently a give away machine. And while Schenn definitely turned the puck over on the 2nd(?) goal last night, it was Gunnerson's blown coverage on the 1st and Phaneuf's on the latter that set the tone.

PK had no reason to fight Brown with 2min left in the game with a 5-0 score. Where was Brown the rest of the night? If he wants to wake up his team, he should have done something in the 2nd period when the Leafs allowed 4 goals, not with 2min left in the game.

With each game that passes, you can really see how much Tim Connolly doesn't give a damn. He just gets lost in the noise in every game. I don't see what he brings to the team -- he's been pretty bad.
