This is largely true - however the reason that they had the room they did for the majority of time was because of the threat posed by a certain #13, who generally either occuppied a least a single defender, or presented a real threat to score from the half boards.

I don't believe its a coincidence that Kaberle's power play skills evaporated after #13 left.
