They don't count this year now do they
- faceto27

Considering Reimer has less than a full year of (healthy) NHL experience, what else are you going to draw on?

Oh yeah, the past 2 games which mean everything, apparently.

Don't talk about that...Mccabe had one good year, once other teams figured him out he was neutralized.

If RW gets canned, bring back Pat Quinn. Leave it to the Irish to come in and instill an offensive-minded system that this young, fast team will thrive upon.

Now, of course, those young teams we reliant on goaltending we don't have, but our defense is in better position than it was under Pat

Phaneuf looks good with just about anybody this season.

He needs somebody who is big and can clean up his mistakes.

Don't get me wrong, I like Dion, and think he's been a decent captain. He's made up for his own blunders by putting out offensively. That said, Markov made Komi look good. Every pairing is just that, a pairing. Aulie made Dion sooo damn good last year, and if he can only recapture that, then we're on the right track. Our record without Dion last year was indicative of that

That said, He still only makes up one half of a pairing

Awesome coaching FTW.

LOL,

Goaltending had nothign to do with the fact that many of the shots facing price were unthreatening

McCabe had 4 seasons with the Leafs at or above 15 goals and 40 points... and until his last couple of seasons, he was good in a shut-down role as well. In the new NHL, the speed of the game, the new restrictions on what d-men could do, and the Leafs' reliance on him in all roles led to him getting exposed more and more... but he was a very, very good d-man in his time.

After that post lockout year other teams knew how to shut him down.

That pairing with Mccabe and Kaberle became all too predictable

The team took a collective dump. 20 Leafs played last night. At least 17 of them didn't do their jobs to expectations.

Gotta love a coach who is more than willing to throw his own under the bus. That's just what you want in a coach in a hockey hot-bed like Toronto. Feed your players to the wolves to save yourself.

No wonder these guys don't go to battle for him. Remember Pat Burns?

McCabe and Kaberle were absolute money on the PP for a long time.

mccabe was really good until the can opener became illegal, then he was good, even slightly above average, but he was no longer as effective

also, i would pin point kaberle as the main issue here.. teams knew to block mccabe's shot because kabby was always going to try and feed him the pass

It was pretty shameful after Mats asked them to honour the dedication of the fans

And after they honoured that pretty wife of his. No wonder he had to quit hockey. He needed to save gas in the tank for her

Halak got chased the other night, too. And he plays for a much better St. Louis team (and coach), no less.

I guess he's not the answer to our problems, either.

And Marc-Andre Fleury allowed 5 goals against Winnipeg, so I suppose he's pretty much a bust, too, now.

that's the nature of this fanbase, one bad game, and now he needs somebody to make him easier to bare.

Agreed. What did that idiot think when he scratched Army? Then he complains about the lack of grit. Imbicile.

One moment, Schenn is too good to trade for JVR, and after a bad give-away, we're looking to trade him for a 4th round pick just to kick him out the door.

Then turn around and sell-out your goalie. Nice.

The audacity of Wilson trying to shatter the kid's confidence after he single-handedly saved his job last year (when we were set to hand Boston yet another lottery pick) is breath-taking.

I'm even gonna say the current hatefest for Wilson's comments. I'm no Wilson lover, but he's coached them pretty well in 2012.

PHIs gonna have to pay up big if they think that we're gonna face both Schenns on a regular basis, regardless of what they give up.
