Does Rob show up often on the Leafs thread? I'm not sure some of the locals are ready for him - Symba007
Really rare. He's more of a grenade thrower. Shows up, drops his deuce and let's the locals have at him. |

I'm giving myself a brain. That's where I squeeze my balls really tight that the they don't have anyroom to go and just squish beside each other to cause them to look like 2 halfs of a brain...now I'm taking my left hand and slapping the brain...(frank) it hurts good.... |

The more I read that, the more I fear for the next generation after I'm done teaching the serial killer what I know. It's not a lot, but it's gotta be (frank)ed up. |

Both Goalies blow, how do you know comprehend this....Don't get me wrong, i despise this team and fanbase but if only you guys had a star goalie you would be like the rangers. Add a decent goalie who can steal a game when the offense dries up and the Leafs could be a top 5 eastern team with second round playoff capabilities. Burke built this team from the net out, now he just need to circle back, add a game changer in net-skip the defense and add some more depth to the offense and the re-built is over. |

Schneider would probably be complete poop here too. I don't think this team has the best overall team defense...though it would be nice to get a guy who can steal a game or 2. |

According to The Fourth Period...
There will be no JVR for Schenn trade.... Not because JVR is concussed BUT rather cause they feel Schenn is overrated

Doubtful, or else this would be going on for so long.
Hope this is true, because JVR is overrated massively.

btw, something i just posted on hockeybuzz
I just looked and Schenn’s 14 points put him tied in 78th and his +6 puts him tied in 46th. We have all heard how his 167 hits rank him #1 while his 75 blocked shots puts him in 63rd. His 16:21 per game rank him 188th.
Conclusion, even in his “poop year” where people are saying he is a borderline 5 defenseman, he has put up the stats of a #3 offensively with no PP time (0:04 per game) and a #2 defensively. Not too shabby for someone getting the ice time of a #6 per game. |

When you look at Wilson's career win percentage, isn't it pretty predictable that we'd lose 3 straight after getting points in 6 straight?
The guy is a .500 coach. Roughly speaking, we'll win about as often as we lose with him behind the bench.
For years now, we've followed up periods of stellar success with periods of meltdowns. It only makes sense. The better we play in our successful moments, the worse we'll play in our meltdowns.
Ron Wilson's win percentage will naturally gravitate towards his average. For every win, expect a loss.
God help us if we manage to go on a 10 game win streak. |

Good. No JVR.
If you think a floater like JVR would make any difference around here, you're mistaken.
The last 3 games I've seen a team that lacks intensity and a willingness to get its hands dirty. JVR doesn't address that one iota. |

Is it just me or was the ceremony for Sundin a little weak on the pomp and circumstance? Having been in attendance at a few number retirement ceremonies over the years, there didn't appear to be any thought or effort that went into this. No dignataries, no chairs for guests to sit, no opponants speach or gift, no nothing. Just a quick video, a quick speach, a banner raising, and a dropped puck. Not impressed with a team that prides itself on history. |

Better upside than schenn - faceto27
How so?
At roughly the same age, Schenn is as good a defenseman as JVR is a forward.
Add in the fact that forwards tend to peak earlier, and I'd actually say Schenn has more upside.
JVR is closer to reaching his maximum potential than Schenn. |
