Seriously, How do they fix this defense?

I wish I knew.

Doesn't seem like enough accountability with the defensive coverage. How many times has G blown a coverage. How many times has G sat for that? Yeah hes a great player but hes not above the team. When Jagr talks about helping G win the points race that crap pisses me off. There really isnt any accountability. Pronger fixes alot of crap.

Lets hope we don't have a reflexive trade, with a huge contract and the customary NMC. How about trying to mold the guys we have into a cohesive bunch. They tried to goon it up against a better team, got whooped, and had a skill player knocked out.

Certainly the defensive corps personnel has to be adjusted, a task I don't think can be accomplished in one trade nor by the TDL. The forwards have to defend a lot smarter, too.

With this game Bobs numbers are almost as bad as Bryz's

How many times can you diagram where players are supposed to be?

At least twice the past two games Coburn left a forward wide open in front on a PK to go do who knows what.

I assume he knows that's wrong, so how do you make him stop doing it?

If anybody doesn't think the Flyers tried to goon this game up from the get go, take off your orange goggles. They know they can't go toe to toe with this team.

I dont know about you but im honestly tired of seeing the same mistakes over and over on defense. Their record indicates that their a decent hockey team but when they have to match up against the "big boys" in the East they become average. I dont think the Flyers are a bad team but its getting annoying to watch them get abused on defense.

I know, breaking news.

There clearly are holes in the team, but there are a lot of rookies out there. This is a young team. For most of the season they have played well, but since the all star break they have been flat. Too much space for the other team to play. Not an excuse, but could they just be hitting a wall.

OMFG, everybody RELAX!!!!!! None of this means anything. This team is going to the playoffs and is third in points in the East with massive injuries and a whole new team. Who cares what happens in these games. Let the Rags fans relish in their regular season wins. Giants just proved whoever the hot team is usually wins. Things will be just fine.

With JVR and Voracek now injured, there really is no forward depth to even trade for a dman. This team isn't going anywhere this year anyway, just stand pat.

I really don't see how it's an excuse. I'm certainly willing to accept, as a much younger team this season, they'll give up games against top teams. But the five goal against "efforts" in the afternoon are a problem that needs to be reversed.
