Oh. Trade your early 30s PF, who has had a large impact on your 22 year old PF, and will score 25-30 goals, and is signed for 3 more years at a nice salary, for a NON-PF, with only a couple of seasons left at best, and who will want more money.
I like it. Good thinking. - hscesq
If someone was willing to overpay for Cole, and if Doan (one of the best powerforward in the league and one of the best leaders. Captain Doan > Captain Gionta) was willing to sign in Montreal, I'd do it. I'd give 6 millions for 2 years to Doan so he could come here and make this loser team less of a loser, and play Beaulieu/Tinordi/Leblanc/Grigorenko, who wouldn't cost much anyway.
This scenario worked in NHL 12.
But I'm not all for trading Cole. |

I have a cousin who's the biggest fefan ever. never watched a single game of hockey until 2008 (he's 41)
saw him a few weeks back.
Interesting note: his name is Ed but he's not the Cousin Ed.
Ed: Salut Dan
dt: hi Ed
Ed: Ca va pas très bien pour les Canadiens hein?
dt: non, ça va très mal.
Ed: Ce qu'il leur faut c'est un gars comme Patrick Roy derrière le banc pour les fouetter!!
dt: ah.... *heads to dessert table* |

So...What about David Perron? Not wanting to start a debate about him or Pacioretty, but I'm glad to see him do well since his return. 24 points in 30 games. |
