Flyers are likely going to have Pronger's LTIR money, and letting Carle walk, with the cap likely going up, they will have room to fit Suter.
- PLindbergh31

With things I've been reading lately, it's not a given that the Cap is going up.

from behind it looks kind of bad, but then the last replay is from the side and it doesn't look like his head is even touched at all. i don't think he was really trying to nail him in the face.

don't like see guys get hurt, but i won't be sad if fedetenko is out saturday. his only purpose is to score against the flyers.

- hammarby31

I watched it a few more times and it appears you're right. The angles look very different for sure. In one angle it almost looks like he hits his head on Moore's helmet. Very lucky it wasn't much worse than that. Those blindside hits are just murder. I'd still like 5 games though. Nowhere near the puck, and to me he was targeting the head but just missed.

If you listen at the very beginning of the clip you'll hear the announcer say that Fedetenko hits Moore along the boards. I think Moore was targeting Rusty after that. Shanahan will take that into consideration.

The Flyers can structure a deal with a player like Suter to lower the AAV, and still be able to resing who they need to.
- MJL

As can any other team. I highly doubt with the weak UFA market on number 1 defenseman, that Suter will sign for less then a 7.5 mill cap hit... No matter how its structured.... Are you ready to give a defenseman a 15 year contract?

It's not a given there's even going to be a season next year.

Doesn't need to be a 15 year contract or anywhere near that. A player is going to be negotiating for his salary, not his Cap hit.

They pull you out of the stands, and NFG has to sit by herself. You replace an injured Bobrovsky, stand on your head and win the game. Bam! Goalie controversy!

Hockey cant afford another lock-out and both sides know it. There will be a season.

I haven't seen him play before, I'm confident if he faced a workload from the Islanders game, he would post a shutout.

of course with the new CBA we have no idea if the cap will change in general. I really really really pray the owners and players are smart and get this done with little pain. I like to think they all learned from the last time (and time before), the NBA and NHL but one never can tell

Luke Schenn had a strong game last night. He would be a solid addition to the Flyers blueline.
- MJL

Just curious. Where would you slot him if he were to join the Flyers today?

I hope they're smart enough to know that.

We have nothing to fear but Fehr himself.
