get 2 goals, play the trap, the other team pulls their goalie, u score.

thats the logic behind it.

- big_dion

"scored" Past tense.

NJ no longer traps. If you don't believe me just look at our last game in Philly where we nearly blew a 6-0 lead.

I'm sure you knew that though. You seem to really be on the ball regarding NJ and its hockey club.

All good. I applaud Leaf fan and his loyalty. They just need to realize others are allowed to have opinions as well. There's enough hate to go around for everyone! Sen's Leaf's Hab's etc....equal oppurtunity hating is the way to go.
- Sam67

Naw, it is tough to hate on certain teams' fans this year.

I feel for Habs fans. This year has been a clustderfcuk. I keep waiting for the team to turn it around though

I don't feel for Sabres fans who wouldn't shut up all summer. I don't feel for certain Sens fans who had to chirp the Leafs boards when the Sens beat them a few weaks ago, or the Sens fans who, as of a month ago, were convinced that the Sens were "light years" ahead of the Leafs.

I get the impression if the Leafs, Habs, Sens and Flames finished in the bottom 4 spots of the league that everybody here would still be arguing who is better.

I actually remember when "Ottawa" had a vote to see if we all supported yelling "Belak". At first I was on the fence, but then I decided to go along with the entire city and voted that we yell that.

Super duper take.

- Lohaus

Ek says that it is a First and a top prospect for Parise.......... you questioning EK?? So since there has been no trade to report involving Parise, that must mean that the other 29 GM's feel that Parise is not worth a First and a top prospect.

EK has spoken!!

I love how people think the trap is some mystical hockey black hole that leads to 1-0 shootout games.

People don't get the trap, don't get how much offense you can generate by using the trap (or even, how easy it can be defeated if you just have mediocre talent).

People need to watch a few Red Wings games.

leafs? trap? LOL

we're 100% run and gun bro.

id gladly accept the cup, but if we played 100+ games of the trap id be needing a few more bong hits and a few more rum and cokes every game...zzzznoozzzeeee fest.

Don't make me do my schtick. Most people even know which "players" spring the trap. I've quizzed like 50 people on this site, and i think 3 knew the answer. Just a buzz word people like to use.

- sensarmy_11

Your owner said today that Leaf fans were being unruly at Scotabank place........ awwwwwwwwwwww, did the big bad Leaf fans hurt the Senator fans??

So then you are saying Leaf fans would accept the trap if it won them the cup, which was my original point, that you denied.

Way to argue yourself back to my position.

- JDJ

nono your just putting words in my mouth, i said id cheer, of course, leafs are my team, but i wouldnt be EXCITED about a leaf game when all we did is stack the blue line with 3 guys and have 2 on the redline, thats boring.

so you are ok with avery standing infront of brodeur waving his arms?? they had to make a rule about that, just like they changed the rules to remove the lame trap because it was boring and nobody wanted to watch that crap.

I can't believe Calgary got rid of White....to do that orig trade was stupid for Calgary, but to get rid of the best player in that deal was even more stupid..I don't understand why they didn't keep White

And yet NJ continued to remain in constant playoff contention.
