To be honest, was that really a problem last year? I thought they did OK. They need defensive help like no other.

Oh i absolutley agree... Courtney Upshaw and Melvin Ingram. are both stars in my opinion... draft one....

Kyle Williams Healthy, Dareus with another years under his belt, Kelvin Sheppard with another year..... Bring in some guys.... Stanford Routt would be a huge pick up if they could pull that off.... they just got to bring in some guys to mesh well with our young guys...

I don't have high expectations from the Bills office to do the right thing though.

Sorry... Got to spend THE RIGHT WAY to win....

Even though i still think Leino and Erhoff will both be huge for us the next few years...

The Browns spent $131M

Now, doesn't everyone feel a bit better?

Until we draft Courtney Upshaw or Melvin Ingram in the draft.... But offensivley he and Stevie are both pretty dynamic... Considering SJ stays.... My dream would be to Sign Vincent Jackson and Stevie.... Fitz would have alot of fun...
- BuffaloKyle

Vincent Jackson would add quite a bit to the team and allow Nelson to thrive in the slot. I think Chandler would be able to get a lot of nice looks as well if that were to happen. I feel like he will sign in Chicago.

I think Leino has pretty much proven that the problem is the guys he's played with this year and not him. It can't be coincidence that he has 3 points in the 3 games he's played on a line with Pominville and Roy.

Vanek's making 6.4 this year, His cap hit is for 7.1. His contract was dictated because of Larry and Darcy saying "we'll match any offer". IMO that took his contract from a 6yr 39mil deal to a 7 yr 49 mil deal(1st 2yrs with a 5mil bonus).

Yeah I realize that I just don't feel he is worth 7 million. I am not saying he is a bad player or anything.
They had no choice but to sign him after the Briere/Drury saga

I still like the Ehrhoff signing but I'm not sold on Leino. I don't mind the signing but the valuation is wrong. Plus the fact they signed him with the intent of him being a center.

Essentially if they keep him on a line with Pominville, they could make him the center. Pommer does most of the defensive work that a center does anyway and Ruff's been using Pommer at center at points this season as well, so it would be more of a rotation between the two of them.

i don't know what standings you're looking at, but NHL.com shows that Toronto is the 8 seed right now. Ottawa is the 7.
