This team just pisses me off. I was at the Preds game and they were awesome. The Preds aren't as offensive but their D is sick. Then this past weekend happens and I want to kill myself. Then I watch Tuesday and I love the way the team played. But I turned game off before shoot out. My wife said, "What are you doing, they win?" I said "No, shoot out." And she said, "Oh, another loss. I'm sorry they suck. I'll make you some hot tea." Sher knows how they upset me.

i don't necessarily think that is the case. while I do agree there are times the building is a little quiet when the Flyers havent given much to cheer about, for the most part its been good. even when down a few goals, the let's go Flyers chant it there. and the building has been full for the most part
- nastyflyergirl

Agree. The attendance has been great, which says a lot in a very tough economy. I have only been to one game this year and it was like a morgue. Granted, there wasn't much to cheer about. I have been to a fair amount of games at the Spectrum and the atmosphere there was very different. I guess that has to do a lot with acoustics of the building and those type things.

Edit: I think the "corporate" type atmosphere at the games now also makes a difference. There are plenty of folks in the seats that have no clue what they are watching, as well as having no interest in the game. It's treated as a social event.

Your wife just pissed me off. If I told my fiancé I was turning it off she would have slugged me in the gut and made me watch it. After she would have made me make her hot tea. We don't quit on the Flyers!

I had season tickets for 16 yrs and a portion of those yrs at the Spectrum and it was definitely louder there but I do think the building itself was part of that.

went to game against the caps earlier on in the seaon, L 5-2 or something, felt like a good amount of ppl were trying to be politically correct and watch what they say. IMO it's a mans sport the players are all 18+ therefore explicit language should be accepted and commonplace esp. with the flyers fan reputation. List price on my seats are $165...i'm gonna get my moneys worth and say w.e. the frank i want.

I have been watching this team for 36 years. My grandfather used to work for Prism so he got flyers/sixers tickets. My wife hates watching hockey, so I'm lucky I get to watch at all. Now the Eagles, she would leave my and sleep with my brother for spite if I turned them off.

Don't blame it on the suits. The guys in Flyers gear are just as likely to be completely clueless. The play-by-play from these dufuses is agita producing.

Speaking of the Philly Media, Pannacio's latest on CSNPhilly.com is about Giroux's improvement in faceoffs. In which he states that Giroux is 4th in the NHL in faceoff percentage. Giroux is ranked 27th in the NHL among faceoff leaders. How can he be expected to be taken seriously when he can't even get simple things like that even remotely correct. It show a lack of detail and a lack of professionalism.

I agree, the flyers as a team are a subpar faceoff team

you left out the most important part of that trade: gilbert dionne.
- hammarby31

I had hopes for him having seen him in the AHL.

He scored 60 goals in his first two and a half seasons with the Habs.

After the trade he had ONE!

There doesn't have to be explicit language to be loud and get behind the team. I myself am conscious about what I say at games, there are kids around and a person should respect that.

So you've been to one game this year, and base that there is no juice in the building and very little fan support on that one game?

Ill go ahead and disagree on that one. There are also many children in the seats, and therefore, you should NOT be able to say w.e. you want.
