The making fancy plays part?
That doesn't make much sense, I agree.

But the players do put more pressure on themselves at home, I think that is true.

place rocks when an interesting opponent is in town. weekday or afternoon games against crappy teams = zzzzzzzzzz
- OrangeBlack27

Yeah, there really can be too many games in the division. Even when we were regularly beating the Isles it was horrible to have them come in. That's the game everyone gives away to people with kids so about 2/3 of the people in the building have no idea what is going on.

Yep. No doubt. Like that everywhere. Flyers have plenty of fan support based on the attendance numbers which are at the top the the League every year.

Saw a race a few years ago where the front 3 guys got tangled up in a turn and went down in a sliding heap.

Speaking of which...

As I said earlier today, he really wasn't done any favors when they gave him the big-city paper gig right off his internship. Needed to work his way up the ladder.

Very odd. I don't think this is a great team, but the way they compete on the road means they should be much, much better at home. There is no juice in the building anymore at all. All artificial noise, and very little fan support.
- PLindbergh31

i don't necessarily think that is the case. while I do agree there are times the building is a little quiet when the Flyers havent given much to cheer about, for the most part its been good. even when down a few goals, the let's go Flyers chant it there. and the building has been full for the most part

Fans who regularly attend the games know that it isn't the case. When excitement is generated, the fans respond, and back the team. When the team plays poorly, the fans let them know. As it should be.
