Well 500 was fun while it lasted. What happened to the offense from last year? Nabby is giving the team quality goaltending and the offense is brutal. Always something with this team. Let me guess our brillant coach is not changing the lines tonight?

The crazy thing is the had amazing pressure in the 2nd, they just could not convert no matter what

No wonder Frans was soo happy to sign with the Isles. Where else can you sign for big money and not have to produce? Jack should be fired for not changing up the lines.

We lose 3-0 to Montreal and we better not even hear playoffs from the Isles and we better be sellers at the deadline.

Relax...just have to win both games over the weekend...it's not over until they are eliminated from playoff contention.

Dear Cap,

Break up Moulson and Tavares.

Thanks

Why not? Sure they got chemistry but seriously, look at the goals Moulson scores. He gets all his goals by going to the tough spots, he can do it on any line. Breaking them up will spread out our attack and other teams will not be able to focus on one line as much.

These lines are worth a try. How dumb is Jack to stick with the same lines when they are clearly not working? If Garth is not going to make trades the coach has to change the lines.

It's hard to relax. These games are all critical because they sleptwalked the first month and a half. When you lose at home to a Montreal team that is 3 games under 500 it's hard to have faith in the Isles.

if Snow doesn't trade Nabby I'm going to be pissed.

TSN is saying he (Snow) will not be trading Nabokov, that Snow has faith in this squad and isn't surrendering the season... WTF! You can't actually believe for one second that the Isles are going to make the post season. The Isles are bottom 5 in the league in scoring, our defense is amoung the worst in the league, our coach is a (frank)ing tool, the list goes on.

The team is still young and developing. We have seen many good things this season but come on, where's the reality here Garth? I admire his confidence (really plain stupidity) in our squad but we're just not there yet. I understand there's a business side to this game and selling off players and pretty much admitting defeat isn't good for revenue (tickets, concessions, etc..) but is it business or does Snow really not see the team for what it is? Does he actually think he's done such a great job building this team that it can actually compete for the cup? Does he really think getting in as the eighth seed the Isles would stand a chance or even win a single game? Would we score a goal in the first round? Answer: No. Aside from Tavares and Moulson (and I don't consider Moulson a legit offensive threat) we got nothing up front. Bailey, Okposo, Nielsen, Grabner, Martin are all inconsistent as they come. Playoff teams aren't made up of these components. Playoff teams are solid, consistent, balanced teams - polar opposites of what we are.

Swallow your pride Garth, trade Nabby, make a trade or two. Looking at this roster everyone should be in play, well keep #91 around. Keep the homegrown talent, sign and trade to fill the voids. This summer offer some money to Parise, stupid money! Why not?! Than one day we can retire him and his Dad into the Isles Hall Of Fame, we'll make a weekend out of it.

It would be great if Garth and Jack actually earned there money for once. Jack can at least make line changes during a Game and Garth can make some trades for once. The playoffs are not happening and even by a miracle they do the Isles are going nowhere with this team. It's a disgrace the free pass Snow gets.

This is a guy who is just begging to be fired. 99.9% of the coaches would be changing lines multiple times during a game if needed. This whole team from top to bottom has no pressure to win. Thisn team can lose every game and Wang would not say a word.

Cap is not ready to be an NHL coach, that's a given but no self respecting coach will work for this organization. Imagine making a resume and under experience having to list New York Islanders as your employer.... yeah, you heard that too? That was the paper shredder accepting your resume.

Only reason Scott Gordon is working in Toronto is he's married to Burke's cousin. So unless Cap has some relatives around the league - when his tenure comes to an end behind our bench, I doubt you ever hear his name again.

Nice to see it got interesting at end but we lost.
we also help another player or team out of a rut.

Gomez scored after not scoring over a year. Add him to the list. We help Macarthur from toronto out of his rut. we help anaheim out there cold streak. why not help gomez.

BTW, cappy is overplaying tavares. he looked exhausted by end of 2nd period.

he's not exhausted, he's pissed off. He's young and in the best shape he's ever been. He hates losing - who doesn't. Tavares needs to relax and get back to his game. He's trying to do too much because he has no faith in his teammates.

His determination and drive are what makes him a rising superstar. The moment he relaxes he stops improving. No one else on this team is going to step up

I think it's time to find out if MM can produce without JT. PA has done pretty well off the top line. Nino was a top 5 pick and has a rep for scoring big goals lets see what he can do with JT. Did anyone in the media even ask Jack if he thought about changing lines? At this rate I rather see Doug Weight as coach. I cannot take passive Jack anymore.
