This morning on the NHL network during the feature "Daren Dredger Insider". Dredger delved into the rumor surrounding the possible trade of Nabokov. After speaking to Garth Snow. He reported that according to Snow there has been no talks between the Isles and any teams regarding Nabokov and that he has ZERO intentions of trading him. Dredger went on to add that with the Isles only 9 points out of the 8th place PO spot. Things could change quickly over the next 2 weeks preceding the trade deadline if the Isle lose a few games in a row and begin to fade
- SCLI

What exactly are you not happy about? That we aren't trading him or that we will if we start to crap the bed?

Snow should listen to offers.... as the deadline hits.. if we are closer to the playoffs then we are now.. hold on to him, if we are further apart... trade him for whatever we can get... BUT.. if we can talk him into resigning before the deadline.. that would be awesome.

Wasn't RDP out for a year or so after he broke his face in the Pitt fight? Oh wait, that's RDP's healing time. He heals in dog years.

Broken facial bones with metal pins/plate are slightly different than the nose, which has no bones, if im not mistaken. Any doctors on this site? Probably not.

Wonder how willing you'd be to take on a guy a foot taller than you.

Why do you even mention Rick? What's his impact on things, currently? None.
He's a non-factor. It's Charles' money he's collecting. Isles tix are are among cheapest in the league. Not like it's Dolan making us pay for Wade Redden & Drury.

If you wonder why other fans rag us so much and give no respect its because WE (and I use that term loosely), the Isles fans, spend our time crying about/ragging on a guy who did nothing but try. So he didn't turn into the world class goalie he was touted to be. (why no mention of Eric Fichaud, Salo, Soderstrom) He was pretty good up until the injury parade. He's under contract and is rightly trying to earn his money. Not like some of the bums in the real world who get injured and milk the system & retire with a false disability pension and suddenly take up kick-boxing/MMA or the likes... If he was 250lbs and in the news for drinking, drugs & womanizing, I'd say Bring It On but that's not the case. Yet, the Isles fans keep reminding the world of him with self-deprecating/ woe-is-us remarks, so they keep rubbing our faces in our own misfortune.

(pause for those who had to grab a dictionary/navigate to a site and look up "deprecating")

If you want him to go away, stop bringing him up. There's far more interesting and relevant things to discuss. Like Dee's cupcakes and puppy dogs.....they just turned 4 today, in dog years!

The only REAL important thing is the two points at hand tonight vs. a team one point behind us whose 1,000 fans who will attend the game and probably make more noise than the rest of the Coli.

Or he was simply responding to me saying that if Hamonic only broke his nose, there would be the original 2 weeks until he was back, not the "no timetable for return".

Where did I say I was unhappy? Or even hint that I'm unhappy? I simply reported what I heard. The little at the bottom was in reference to the the comment that Dredge made. I'm happy as a Clam.

On the other hand. Snow should listen to offers from every team about every player. As I've stated many times in the past. No one is untouchable.

I am back after having jury duty, anyway you do not take NAbby out of the net at all. Jack have some common sense and keep the man in.

I would also like to see the first line get some point tonight and they struggle when they dont score. Granted we are getting point but if Nabby was no in net Tuesday we would have gotten destroyed

Ah..just assumed by the that you didn't like one of the two possibilities. I think this deadline is going to be boring. GM's are finally realizing that overpaying for players (Paging you Dustin "Pancakes" Penner) doesn't usually work out.

I was just surprised by your question. But,
No harm no foul. The as I said was just in reference to the comment. We needed Dredge to tell us that? Like we couldnt figure that out ourselves?

Yep.

From all indications and reports. Its shaping up to be a slow trading day.

So...the fans are to blame for the lack of respect and an empty quiet building. Got it. Respectfully, I disagree

Nobody wants to overpay. One of the Blackhawks beat writers was talking (pre-signing of course) about interest in Frans Nielsen and when I asked what he thought the Hawks would give up for Frans, his answer was "Draft pick and not a high one."

Brian Rolson will be the healthy scratch again among the forwards.

Happy days are here again!

Barring any Injuries I think Rolston has played his last game as an Islander. Unless the fall way out of the race and they'll give him a couple of games at the end since this is most likely his last year in the NHL

I believe it too, Frans' value to the Isles is exponentially more than his trade value is. On a Cup contender he is only a bottom 6 forward and it would be crazy to give up a lot for him. Just as crazy as it would be for Snow to trade him for a "not high" draft pick.

Me to.
The thing is. Frans is a terrific 3rd line center, penalty killer and SO specialist. He'd be an asset to most teams if used correctly. Even more so to the Isles as you stated.
