I think you were not the only one asking for Gagner to be trade it even for less but that's because of Oilers Coaching not knowing or been Dumb on how they were using Gagner and I think lots of other fans forgot that Gagner is only 22...

You gotta admit when you're wrong I was,I would still like a big center in our top 6 tho, or 2 big wingers if Gags plays center.

a good pick up in the summer could be Dustin Penner to fill out that top 6 role, at least for a couple seasons as his value is pretty low and we have seen his potential before.. he had good chemistry with gagner for a few seasons.. and even hemsky so maybe for one season we could extend hemsky and get penner back! this will give us to time to get someone like bobby ryan to be the other top 6 forward as we will could potentially trade pajaarvi... also i know khabi's play has gotten worse but i really do feel its because of our team and not his goaltending.. if you have noticed before from roli's time the oilers have never been there for the goaltenders in terms of defence.. 2007 and 2008 season the oilers had terrible play and even then we finished very close to the playoff's only because roloson would play outstanding to start the season and then the D wouldn't do anything to bail him out and he would get worse as the season went on... same with Khabi.. he needs a reason to be confident.. he has the capabilities of stellar play as long as he sees that the D is doing everything they can for him. Dubnyk has the same problem plays 3-4 games really well even if the D is terrible but only lasts a few games..so we really need to improve this D immediately, not wait for the prospects to develop because they will still harm our goaltender's confidence.

Why?

It was stated a few times that we should put the BBC on a fwd line and see what he could do... He may provide some fwd toughness, given a little more freedom to be an energy guy much like big buff did for Chi in the playoffs... only thing is on which line??? 3 or 4?

Cause Colbourne is gonna be a good centre in this league. Big and has hands. I think hes kinda gassed at this point in the season though after playing the last couple of years in college. Think Hemsky and a 3rd would float Burke's boat enough to get this done?

I'll admit I didn't read this whole thing, but not a chance Penner comes back, nor does anyone want him to. Ryan is madness, if the Ducks trade any of those guys they are going East.

Not a chance. And Colborne injured his ankle in Novemeber and hasn't quite got back to form. I wouldn't say Colborne is untouchable, but the only way he's going is in a package for a big name player. Leafs have no use for Hemmer. Consider our biggest center is Bozak, we need his size just as bad.

He just came back from injury. Its gonna take him probably 5-10 games to get back into form. But Potter on the other hand has looked like poop for a while now. I think he could use some time up in the pressbox. Ideally we need to get rid of somebody.
