I usually can't ever say that Gaustad was invisible because he usually makes an impact. IMO even if they make the playoffs there are too many passengers on the bus to make any type of run. Roy and Boyes have to go. Aside from his goal and a few rushes they can take Staff with them. If they aren't part of the solution they are part of the problem.

Nice to see Leino show some emotion. He seems to finally be finding a place on the team. He plays like he's interested all of a sudden.

Staff is along for the ride on the gerbe and ennis show for that line..

Leino is starting to make some nice plays, he still makes a lot of bone head ones too though

i agree with the whatever on the goal and they shouldn't fold after that.. i don't watch enough Bs to know their mental toughness so i will not comment.

I bet some "fans" bring up the Ruff v Patrick crap.. it is all a joke and i am not sure patrick should be on the coaching staff to being with.

Lucic always loses his cool when things aren't going the Bruins' way. I guess an optimistic fan could see this as him hating to lose, but I usually see it as annoying. Be tough, not stupid...he often confuses the two.

So the Swords are 4-0-1 in their last 5 and have games against the Stars, Lightning, Devils, Flyers and Canadiens coming up. Can they get on a roll here and make a move up the standings? I hope so. A lot of hockey left and with the Sens tanking, is 8th realistic, or just some pipe dream?
- mhp

I would say 8th is "not out of the question"..........

Facts have NO PLACE here! LOL.... gr8 to see him plying so well. Could you imagine his #'s if we could stop with the pathetic giveaways (insert Weber, Grags, whomever).

Let's go Buffalo!

- SabresFaninIndiana

Lines /players whatever. You saw the guys who make a difference and the team come together.I thik it was a good thing for Lindy to watch the game from above and maybe just maybe your looking at his successor some day.I wouldnt be suprised to see Lindy step down after this season.

Went to the game last night. Couple thoughts on it:

1. Loved Leino last night. He had a jump in his step and showed some real fire. Taunting the bruins bench after the 2nd goal was great. Reminded me a lot of Marchand the last time we played them.

2. Speaking oof Marchand, did he even play? Marchand, Seguin and Krecji were non-factors, and Chara and Lucic were completely off their game.

3. Ennis, Kaleta, Ehrhoff and Miller were outstanding. And McCormick's fight was a good sign.

4. Adam was consistently taunted by Thornton the entire night and did... well, nothing. He has really regressed.

That being said, if Vanek is back this weekend, here's my line-up:

Leino - Roy - Pommer
Vanek - Adam - Boyes
Gerbe - Ennis - Stafford
McCormick/Ellis - Gaustad - Kaleta

They are all either playing the wrong role or are just shi!tty role players.

Aside from some top 6 talent this team is sorely lacking in difference makers on the 3rd/4th lines. Look at how often Drew Miller's name is popping up lately. Detroit finds that type of player. So does Pittsburgh. When Darcy finds that type of player he pays them $2.5M per and they end up getting fat and lazy.

Thorton Too.Chara does to a point as well but I think he s a tad smarter then your 2 tough guys. The 2 bullies are used to getting thier way its a tough pill to swallow.

I actually trade for Drew Miller in every NHL video game I get... I just really like Ryan and Drew playing together.. besides Drew is good on the 3rd line with Gaustad and Kaleta and he is 2nd line PKer

IMO whether the 'Bres are buyers or sellers at the dealine, they should still be shopping D-roy. This team may have turned the corner after getting healthy-er (could still use Vanek's PP and goal scoring prowess) however, it is not because of D-roy. He just seems so uninspired out there night in and night out, just going through the motions. I think it would be hard to move him tho because I'm sure if we all can see it, so can all the others teams. Purely addition by subtraction.

I know this has been stated over and over, but I just wanted to weigh in. I owe it to all you guys on here, these entertaining message boards help break up my monotonous days at work!

Looks like Kaleta managed to piss off the entire Bruin's team, Mike Milbury and Ty Anderson as well.

he started the game with Boyes - Gaustad - Kaleta.. I was confused by that..

Ruff said after the game that he doesn't know his timeline to return to the bench and that it might not be this weekend..

So we might get to see Patrick and Teppo rolling lines again this weekend
