Kaleta is effective. He is no different then Claude Lemieux, Kenny Linesman etc. Those guys never fought. Problem is, B-LO wants him and Gaustad to be enforcers which is load they simply are not up to.

Those other guys had heavyweights around them and just played the role of agitator which can be extremely effective. Regeir never gets all the complimentary parts necessary to be successful.

perhaps you're missing my sentiment.

i personally enjoy Kaleta's game. he plays a role on this team. he's our pest. he's also our lightning rod.

what i was getting at is if Kaleta is known to be such a turtle and a coward, why does anybody challenge him?

EDIT: PK will also pick his spots as does any pest. does Chris Neil fight everybody he receives a challenge from? hell no. that's what pests do. they piss you off to no end, don't answer the bell and get you so enraged over it you can't play the game your coach tried to plan out.

Hats off to Buff for that scoreboard beatdown. Boston didn't suck it up after the blown call on the tying goal. They had the play early on but let their emotions get the better of them...again. Seems to be the formula for alot of the B's losses this year. Their mental game is weak. I will say though that when fists were flying the vast majority landed on the faces of the Sabres. I give credit to them for standing in there and taking those shots.

I loved Kaletta's turtle though, was a nice tribute to Coach Ruff at the hands of Cam Neely. Should be a rule that you can't say a word after coming out of the shell though as it makes you look like an ass when you're tough talking after the fact.

Would love to see any 6ft 200 lb and under bruin fight 2 heavyweights within 40 mins..I think he already did his part in getting Lucic off the ice and knew the 5-0 lead was good enough... he may have lost to Lucic but how many guys win vs him 10 in the league maybe then to come back and fight thorton...he may be an idiot but he knows his role...

Perfect snapshot of why the Bruins lost tonight.
- nfph

Kaleta clearly got the best of the B's tonight. Unfortunately, next game in Boston he will have a bullseye and every B will run him.

Prediction: next game, 6-1 Boston, Kaleta out three weeks with upper body inury.

Lindy will announce others need to "step up" and whine about officiating.

Regeir will not address his soft squad issues, and Black express his confidence in his management team

Actually, I agree with you. Kaleta can be completely disruptive. He shouldn't need to fight. Lemieux was that guy for New jersey. marchand is that guy for Boston.

Uh, nothing about that fight was "Advantage Kaleta." Good game for Buffalo, but that was more Get Punched in the Face By the Bully and Win the Game Anyway. But, credit where it is due to him for going against Lucic in the first place, and to all the boys in blue and gold for getting it done on the scoresheet.

Now the question is, were they rallying around their injured coach or thoroughly enjoying the opportunity to play for someone else?

I was at the game tonight that was alot of fun too watch at the arena. 6 goals, 2 fights and a shutout by miller. You cant ask for more then that out of 1 game. And to do it against boston even better.!!

i think it's a mixture of a few things. they've been playing noticeably better of late. maybe James Patrick's voice and style was a refresher. i think after they got some goals and got Boston off their game, it was full speed ahead.

Sorry garth, we still have to walk past that "playground" everyday and the bully isn't going away.

The NHL is not "A Christmas Story"

- DaveZ

No, but Ralphie's mom is Suzanne Hanrahan. So maybe the Federal League is "A Christmas Story".

Up until this year, I didn't really care about them. I hated Toronto and Ottawa more.

Things are much much different these days though.

Great game. Only got to watch a little bit of it since I was at work, but it was quiet enough tonight that I got a decent look in on it.

I feel like the only reason Lucic "beat" Kaleta is because he bascially just kept pushing him backwards until he lost his footing and fell. But who really cares anyway? The part that matter is what column changes on the team record, and the Sabres certainly added one in the right category tonight.

Ur one of those dipsh.it guys that root against your team? If their whole team outs a target on Kaletas back it would be the exact same thing as tonight!! You know if no one is playing offense for the Bs again... Get a clue

Nice work Sabres... sick of seeing the Bruins run around like idiots and get away with it

Campbell's boys always doing work for them. It's a joke

I dont get why Weber even got 1 PIM for his role in that 'fight'. Thornton chased him down and sucker punched him. Pathetic.

All in all... good stuff tonight. What a troll job by Kaleta

Great game from Kaleta, take the punishment, while the rest of the team win's the game and he even scored, excellent game, I really wish Kassian was playing and fighting.

Looking forward to all the "Brett Hull", "In the crease" sign in the next game

Well one thing is clear. Trolls hate the Bruins more than the Sabres.
