My bad. I just assumed that a team would replace 2 veteran 50%+ centerman with other centers.

Belanger for all the bad (two dumb penalties) won 7 of his 10 face offs. Against a team like the Wings puck possession is important. I'm not sure what happened after he won the draw but thats a different situation. He only played 14 minutes tonight which is better than the 18 he played the other night.

One thing that troubles me is that Sam Ganger played only 17 minutes, while Shawn Horcoff played 22.

Horcoff played a tough if uncreative game tonight imo. Belanger was certainly more of a problem, partly because he was on the ice more than he needed to be. In a game where we've got ample PP time (and an extended first period 5 on 3), Gagner should certainly be the one playing 22 minutes.

It sucks to get uninspired coaching and goaltending all game, and the truth is we staved off this being a blowout.

He was suppose to be in the AHL this year. He showed up in camp pretty much the same size as he was when he played the year before. He struggled in training camp against men so they elected to send him back to Prince George, which was the smart move.

Just because a guy can man handle boys doesn't mean he is ready to play against men.

- Lahey

My point is that the Oilers don't have the option to send him to the AHL because of the collective bargaining agreement. He had to be either in Edmonton or Prince George. In the future, there should be a 3rd option.

Btw Taylor Fedun was going to make the Oilers Team this Season,I think he was going to be the Biggest Surprise alone with the Nugde,if Fedun gets Healthy next year before Training camp and keeps playing the way He was before his injury then I can see him playing for the Oilers before even KlefBOM or Musil...
- AlEx_OiL

Really it's all speculation. Just because he was playing well in camp doesn't mean much.

Not true. Guys drafted out of Europe can play in the AHL at any age.

Is that why he is playing in the WHL?

Ugh. He is in the WHL because he was getting man handled in training camp. He didn't gain very much weight and it wasn't worth it to have him struggle in the AHL. That and we had a lot of d-men already.

Anyone that actually followed this team should've heard management talking about him last year at the end of the year. At the time the plan was to have him play in the AHL, but he pissed a summer away.

Except once you sign a contract with a CHL team, you must fulfill the contract. He can't play in the AHL this year, whether he is physically ready or not. He'll be in the AHL next year, when he is allowed to.

LOL, so how is RNH in the NHL and others?

Trust me it has nothing to do with a CHL contract.
