No, he was here for 90 mins today but left before practice started at noon. He didn't want to speak to media.

How did he seem?

Getting a healthy Chris Pronger back would be equally as good as a Weber trade or signing here in Philly.

If he could be well enough to at least work with and around the team, that would be huge. His presence is important off and on the ice.

They are trying to take it in stride but when you've only taken four of 10 points since the All-Star break, I think they are real anxious to get on the board early tomorrow night and go from there.

Today there were lots of questions about practicing the shootout and about Pronger's visit. Also, TSN and other Canadian media were here, so the media scrum lasted twice the normal time.

Any word on how 20 is doing? I'd like to hear more about his visit, but would understand if anything beyond the fact that he was in the house was kept close to the vest by the organization. Hope he is getting healthy and can resume his career, or at the very least just retire in a situation that allows him to live a good post-hockey player life.

He is probably there to discuss his impending retirement.

Did he get there on his own today? Guess he is doing better if he went to visit.

Not sure if he came in on his own or it was scheduled beforehand, but it's the first time in awhile he's been around. Hartnell said Pronger was still a little down, Lavy simply said there's been no change whatsoever for good or bad.

None of Pronger's teammates wanted to ask him how he's doing (they said as much afterward) just that it was good to say hi. Hartnell joked that Pronger "already has his playoff beard" but made sure no one misinterpreted the comment to mean he's coming back for the playoffs.

Thanks. What can the players really say to him, the guy loves the game and wants to be out there. Hopefully Pronger will get well enough to have a healthy life (hockey or no hockey).

JVR will play again, but probably not for a while. I noriced this quote in Seravalli's article:

"If you talk to me at different times of the day, maybe I will feel a little better sometimes than other [times], when I feel really sick."

So if he feels "really sick" every day, or often enough, then a recovery free state is clearly a while away. Its a pity because quite apart from his contribution, I wanted to see more clearly if he is the player of the first round in playoffs last year or the on-off talented floater type seen more frequently

Pretty sad he has to spell it out so certain members of the media don't run away with that story.

Sucks it had to happen this year. I was really excited to see him perform with more ice time. Hopefully he can get back healthy soon.

Philadelphia has loaned Harry Zolnierczyk to AHL affiliate in Adirondack.
He served as a healthy scratch in Tuesday's shootout loss to the New York Islanders. Zolnierczyk has three goals and two assists in 36 games with the Flyers during his rookie season.
