The only players i can see Burke going after is more so paul stasny or jeff carter. Getzlaf will cost way too much to acquire. With paul stasny or jeff carter, luke schenn wouldnt even have to be included but for getz most likely yes. Burke will NOT trade schenn and Burke does not need to make a deal like that.

Paul stasny id take over jeff carter because his contract has another 1-2 years on it left and at a good age to resign for cheaper and would be back with Liles. Jeff Carters contract is way too long but would still be a good player to acquire. These two players would come at a cheaper cost than the likes of getzlaf.

The Lightning should be announcing a trade any minute. With Marc Andre Bergeron back tonight they also recalled Evan Oberg, giving them 9 healthy defensemen. Logic says one will be on a plane out of town before game time. Likely that one of Clark, Bergeron or Kubina are the one being traded but Gervais is a possibility as well.

No way the Canucks will deal both Schneider and Hodgson with zero guarantee Parise would re-sign in just a few months' time. That's just bad management.

eddie lack looks like he can fill the role of schneider as a back up. with H. Sedin and Kesler playing 1, 2, theres no need to keep hodgson playing 3rd line center. adding parise gives them another scoring threat on their top 2 lines. plus with everyone on vancouver average age of 28, they really only have a couple years to win that cup and parise gives them a better shot
