According to the lines used in the past few games...he is. SO that is not saying a lot. Regarding Turris...I am basing this on production and ability and not saying he would be better in a certain position, just that Mac is a better top6 forward that I would *consider* slotting in higher on a depth chart than aforementioned players. - PrairieLeafFan
What the H E double hockey stick are you talking about? Top 6 refers to your top 2 lines, meaning 6 players, meaning he can slot in on either line...not meaning he HAS to be able to play first or second line.
AND!!!! In Ottawa he could play first line, displacing O'Brien on that line LOL
Yeah I just thought you said his INT and intentional grounding play cost the Pats 9 points? Just trying to figure out where the 9 points came from.
Evans caught that ball but it was swatted out, Welker dropped it without being touched. In any case any #1 receiver in the NFL *should* make that catch, and for them it should be routine. I have seen Welker make that play all year and I have watched the replay over and over again - The-O-G
2 points for the safety and we scored a touchdown off the great field position. keep up Im no Irvin fan, but i have to agree with him on welker. im not denying that it was catchable, much harder than it looked though. he had to come back across his body to make the catch at real speed. Blaming him for costing the pats the game is absurd. some pats fans and giselle just need to shut their mouths

I said it yesterday and I'll say it again since no one ever listen's to me...Abandoning Woodhead on that fatal drive was the biggest mistake the Pats made...

One of the best moments of my season so far...
Regehr absolutely destroying Ovechkin on the boards... and then seeing that Chris Butler who we traded for Regehr went -7 in one game for Calgary and that Paul Byron isn't even playing good for them in the minors.. - MillerTime1130
That's some sad moments.
My only moment of the season is when gionta butt raped optimus reimers face.

My definition of top 6 is different than yours. If a player doesn't have the ability to play on a first line on most teams, 50% of the time, he is not a top 6 IMO. And I definately wouldn't consider him a first liner on any team in the league.
He's a 2nd liner when his game is on, 3rd when it's not.
Well folks, been good talking with you all and nice open debates, but I am out to go drink beer and watch hockey.
I think we can all come to the agreement that Buffalo is a real mess right now, the Leafs are on a up swing and look strong enough to compete for the 6-8 playoff spots, Montreal is a mess too but they dont have a chance of turning it around with a major overhaul, Ottawa just suck and has been overachieving and that Ovi is NOT, I repeat, NOT going to be traded to Florida!
But hey...at least none of our teams are as bad as Edmonton or Columbus!

Great field position? What, their own 20?
I'm not saying it wasn't hard to catch that pass, but he is a #1 receiver in the NFL, and when you see catches like what Manningham made and even David Tyree back in 08, it would be nice to be on the other side of the coin, and that Welker catch was a lot less harder to make than those 2 I just mentioned.
There were more things that caused them to lose the game that's for sure. But the Welker play stands out because if he made that play at that time they more than likely would have one the game that's all. It's just natural for everyone to look at that play and think what could have been.
