It isn't an issue, but yet it's sad. Hm, ok!
- funmaster18

Wow.

It isn't an issue that people name players from the Flyers a day. It's an issue that Shelley keeps getting brought up a day.

Try to keep up.

That's implying that I said one player is worth more then the other.
- Schenn2shine

No its implying that your deal isnt a good one. If JvR is worth more than Schenn.. trading JvR for Schenn is not a good deal. You said it is a deal that would benefit both sides. If you are giving up a player that is worth more than just Schenn... for just Schenn it is not even close to beneficial for the Flyers.

It isn't my deal. I'm stating how the player we get in return benefits the Flyers, which is what I said from the beginning. There was no mention of a deal that I came up with. There were no details of a deal that I proposed.

Did I miss a an insult towards Shelley. People talk about Brzy daily... Giroux daily... Why cant we discuss Jody Shelley daily?

Here you go. Jody Shelley did nothing to make me angry in the past few games he played. He also did nothing that made me happy. It is as if he was almost not there.

"A JvR/Schenn deal would benefit both sides."

All I am saying is that I disagree.

Giving up JvR for Schenn does not benefit the Flyers.... If anything, that deal does a severe disservice for the Flyers...

Hang on here, I made a simple valid comment and one person got up in arms over it.

there is no respected talent evaluator who would consider such a deal to be a good one for the flyers- not one. there would have to be additional compensation from TOR. what would that be and how would that player(s) benefit the flyers? keep in mind that unless a 1st rnd drft pick was included it is likely that JVR will always be the best plyr in the deal...I don't like to be on the wrong side of that equation.

premier pwr forwards have been traded for offensive puck movers in 2 recent trades, not guys like schenn...and for good reason. jake for schenn, ok...but not JVR.

- isaiah520

Is JVR a premier Power Forward? In terms of potential, Schenn and JVR are fairly equal. And I'm not sure how you would know that there isn't one respected talent evaluator who would consider such a deal a good deal. Just search past trades made by NHL GM's to know that that's not likely true.

I'm sorry, deal I have to get into the every detail for the swap. It's rumored that Brian Burke wants JvR and there was a good chance Luke Schenn was coming the other way, this isn't new news.

Hopefully that day is soon. We need him back in the line up, and healthy.

Getting a good solid young defenseman like Schenn would certainly benefit the Flyers. The Flyers may be giving up the better player, and I'm not sold on that deal. I'm hesitant to trade JVR. But that doesn't mean it doesn't benefit the Flyers.

Is the word that JVR has been skating again, but still hasn't addressed the media?

JVR is concussed right before the deadline guys. He's not getting traded. Move on.

If you still wanna talk about Schenn I'd offer Jake or a 1st. Nothing more.

It wouldn't make much sense moving a key forward as long as Briere and JvR are out.

No poop its not new news. You said a JvR for Schenn deal would benefit both teams.

When you said Jvr for Schenn it suggest you mean literally mean JVR for Schenn. Thats why I said what I said.

It makes more sense than the Leafs giving up Schenn for a concussed player in the middle of an injury marred season.

No, it doesn't literally suggest anything. Obviously there would have to be both details. I was stating what Luke Schenn could do for the Flyers. Are you really telling me what I was saying and what I meant?

Both sides would definitely benefit from that deal. Doesn't make it a good deal, but they would still both benefit.

Giroux for Bogosian. That each side needs help in those respective facets of the game, but that doesnt mean it would necessarily benefit both teams.

If the Flyers got Schenn and Kadri it would benefit them. You have to improve in order to benefit. I dont think giving up JvR who has 1st line winger potential, for a defenseman who is currently playing on the 3rd pair and has 3-4 potential benefits the Flyers.

The thing is, we're already playing without JvR. If we traded Voracek, then we're down Briere, JvR and Voracek.

Jesus Roe... I read and reposted exactly what you said.

If I said a 1st for Andy Sutton deal would benefit the both teams.. wouldnt it be implied that the deal would be a (gasp) 1st for Andy Sutton?

Yeah, which is why I'd lean more towards offering a 1st for him. Not sure that gets it done tho. I'd reluctantly throw in Harry Z or MAB but that's as far as I go for Schenn.
