No... I didn't go to the actual parade in NYC, I was at the rally at the stadium in NJ after the parade.

they should've put all the Giants fans in Xanadu, locked the doors and set it on fire.

You cannot make this stuff up.

Briere, coming off a concussion, had zero business being in the SO. And Simmonds looked like he had a concussion.

- Hatchet

Briere has been practicing for a while. He is one of the best on the team in the shootout. He absolutely belongs in the shootout. If he can play in the game, he can be in the shootout.

Team has ZERO home ice advantage. Building is a Morgue. I think it's because majority of fans expect the team will lose.

When I had Season tickets, every game I went to, I supported the team. Most fans are positive and support the team.

Isn't much to practice really ...it's up to the players to just put the puck in the net and Bryz to stop the puck ...it's something they should both know by now considering they are professionals...
- keatondixon

Practice making moves that work. Briere has to stop limiting the net to just the bottom. He needs to get it high over the pad. Bryz needs to sit on the bench for shootouts. Put Schenn Giroux and Read in to shoot. Problem solved?

Not sure people fork out that kind of dough only to show up expecting their team to lose.

Maybe not. What's the deal with 28 losses in the last 45 home games? That's insane. Bad teams do better than that at home.

As of right now this team has no chance in a 7 game series against anybody in the East...they just aren't consistent enough to last in the playoffs

Thats your opinion. I felt like Briere didn't play well. Like when we had sustained pressure and he gets the puck at the side of the net and just throws it out front blindly and the Islanders cleared. But thats my opinion

I think it was JJ who said that Brys had a 600 something save percentage for his lifetime shootout experience.
Not sure what's going on with him now when it comes to the shootout but man it's frustrating to just get smoked in these things.
Oh well I hope they at least beat Toronto.

Getting the puck to the front of the net is never a bad play. What the issue there, and I stated this earlier, is that nobody went to the net, when they had the puck established down low. That was the only fault of the team tonight.

I know the goalies are pretty good in the NHL, but it continues to amaze me how many of the top .25% of all hockey players in the world struggle with the SO. The kids for sure should be doing it because it's been in juniors for their whole careers. With the composite feathers and heel curves they have now there is no reason not to be able to elevate the freaking puck.

Disagree. They would sweep the Bruins and Rangers. Lock it up.

Rangers shutout at home by a 39 year old man tonight. PA-Thet-IC

That's what I said. I said he was non competitive in the shootout. And of course we have the same people jumping down my throat saying I blamed him for the loss. Embarrassing.
- PLindbergh31

Why you want to focus your judgement of the game on the skills competition is embarrassing.

Yes we get it, Bryzgalov has struggled in the shootout, that's obvious. But do you feel its a problem at all with forwards in the as well? Its been an issue since the shootout was instituted. The goalie continually gets zero goal support. I think that deserves a laughable comment as well.

That 13/14 rounder with Niittimaki stopping everything while each Flyers shooter continued to get stoned sticks well in my memory.
