i honestly dont get all this pando bashing, its like you guys expected him to light the lamp and stuff, thats not the player he is, or ever was, he chipped in a goal here and there but it was more his 2 way game that was important, and now it is his vet leadership.................you guys expect way too much out of him

No, you, and apparently Kasper, misread the anger. We expected nothing out of Pandolfo, and essentially get that. And there's the issue. A useless signing, after a series of other useless signings this past offseason, to replace previous useless signings whose contracts expired. That's why folks are angry. Yes, out of all the spare parts the Islanders brought in to replace other spare parts, Pandolfo's the least damaging on the ice. Pardon us if we don't celebrate that fact.

and a guy wont sign if he feels he can be more than a 4th liner and thats where you want to put him, let alone the isles difficulty getting FA's to sign

true but i dont know how much people "hate" pandy as opposed to rolston. i think the frustration about pand is directed at management for giving him a roster spot for as long as he has one

I understand how Devils fans like Pandolfo but, would you want him on your team at this point in time? NO! Hes done, hes too slow and we have plenty of better players down in Bridgeport that can take his place. Also what happened to Ullstrom?

Just like down here. Its been freezing (frost) in the morning and 60's during the day. Even for this part of SC its unseasonably warm for Jan-Feb.

Bailey, Grabner type guys? Watching Grabner makes me sick. Hes one of my favorite players and he is easily better but hes so poorly coached and unmotivated it shows. Coaching needs to demand that he starts hitting and fighting more for the puck. They also have to show him how to accept a pass. If he focuses on the basics he could be a star.

He's been a disappointment this yr. His 5 yr $3,000,000 per yr contract isnt looking like such a terrific signing right now.

Every team has its none physical players. But usually there is a balanced mix to keep everyone honest. Isle over the past 10 -15 years have bounced back and forth between being a team of bad asses to a team of choir boys from yr to yr. They never seem to keep an identity. Never keep a balance. The Islanders dont seem to know where they want to go or who they want to be.
I really am concerned for Matt Martin. He's a good kid. A pretty good hockey player. A terrific team player. I believe he could become a very solid 3rd line player. Have a long career as penalty killer and on the PP. 10-15 goals a season isnt out of the question as he matures. But if the Isles continue to use him in the enforcer role. I'm afraid one nite MM is gonna take on more then he can handle. It only takes one mismatch with the wrong guy to ruin a career. This really concerns me when we play certain teams.
