Not at all. But if you dont think Edmonton has a better prospect pool than the leafs then you are kidding yourself. - shinebox
EDM has deeper and more skilled forward depth
TO has better defensive depth
Both are questionable in the crease area, with a slight advantage to TO |

I don't know why
hmmm I like Ladd, but doesn't scream excitement - Boosinicka
He's a good prospect. Late 1st/Early 2nd, IMO. Similar to Boone Jenner last year. A guy who would go through a wall for his team, lead by example, bring offense, some jam, etc.
Around 12-18 (where Leafs should be picking) there are better choices than him, IMO. |

Edmonton is better-Any rational human being would take that roster over T.O's.
Yes Toronto will probably make the playoffs, but will go out in the first round with most likely zero wins. EDM may not make the playoffs next year but will have a cup within the next 5 years, the same cannot be said about Toronto.
Thank you. - Whiskey-Tango
By 2014-2015 all of their young players will be RFA's who will want big salary increases or be lured away with offer sheets. I don't see how Edmonton will be able to pay big bucks for the likes of Hall, RNH, et al. plus have enough money to ice a competent defence, capable goaltender, and depth needed to win the cup. |

I was told we'd be doomed with Reimer and Gustavson as our goalies. I was told Grabovski was a glorified 3rd liner. I was told Phaneuf was done. I was told Franson was a 6th d-man. I was told that Lupul was done.
Excuse me if I choose not listen to such tripe any longer. Cheers. |

I like when you leave dim witted trolls to scurry about....like soft headed punching bags.
To see all the usual old material from years gone by get regurgitated is almost as funny as watching kids recycle trends which were lame the first time around.
Theres been a few kicking about again......they are harmless lil dough heads. |

Absolutely. But will the Oilers be able to afford all of these guys plus all the other pieces it takes to win the cup? I agree they have a great and deep forward talent pool but are lacking on the defensive side of things. I am not sure what their goaltending looks like after Dubnyk.
If I am in the Oilers management I would be looking to move one of these forward pieces for some solid defensive depth sooner rather than later. In a couple of years it will be too late. |

And... ? - Dgrdnr
Eberle plays like one... but he was 22nd.
I dont think its crazy to think they can get the 3 of them signed long term for 18-20 mill.
Which leaves a little money for other players....

Actually, you'd be surprised at their average height, in comparison with the rest of the league. |
