Yes, he was off to a solid start at a thirty goal pace.
- BulliesPhan87

Yea, I guess 11 goals with 37 GP is nothing to sneeze at...but he's played very soft to me this year.

This quote basically says it all.....

“It didn’t go our way,” Timonen added. Then, when asked what he thought the difference was in the game, Timonen quietly but just as quickly responded, “the goalie.”

He was asked post-game what the difference in the game was, and he said the goalie. He speaks the truth. Why get on a player for being honest?

I agree. When I go to a game, I just ignore it. The team shouldn't put him on the jumbotron and advertise his nonsense.

All this talk about it being Bryz's fault or not made me think of this, It's the Goalie!

Thanks, but I was hoping for a link if at possible. I need context. "The goalie" could be Lundqvist and not Bryz if HL stood on his head like usual.

If he said it I wouldn't jump on him for saying it, but I need some context in which he said it. Do we know for sure he was referencing Bryz and not Lundqvist?

and

“They play the same system, it's not a surprise to us,” Kimmo Timonen said. “They block a lot of shots, but everybody’s blocking a lot of shots. We can do a couple of things better, but when they break down, their goalie makes saves.”

Good question. And a valid point. I didn't hear it, just read it.

Pretty much what I've been saying all day. Bryz was brought in to make the stops when the defense breaks down.

Good for Kimmo. I applaud him for speaking the truth. He's not giving a pass like a lot of others are. No one brings their hard hat and lunch box and comes to play every night like Timonen does, coming from him this speaks volumes.

For real? Those were his words? If so, THAT IS SERAVALLING HUGE RIGHT THERE. It doesn't get much harsher than that from a team mate. Wow!
