hey man congrats on the win... it was well deserved

but also a direct result of that dropped ball by Welker in that drive late in the 4th. a play that will have him on par with Bill Buckner in terms of Boston - and national - sports mythology.

so again, great job, and awesome luck again for Big Blue

Vick may not have made that throw but he could of scrambled for a 75 yard TD. I was talking more about his clutch factor. Vick finally has talented players to play with on offense and if he stays healthy you will see the beast unleashed next season. If Vick doesnt miss four games the NYG dont even make the playoffs this year. The Eagles are not that far away from winning a Super Bowl.

Great Coach- check
Good DC- check
Good OC- check

With a full offseason to develop this team is going to be the favorites next season to win the division and possible the NFC.

- stveshdy

sorry was back reading and saw this and i was

what the heck are u smoking... good DC .... check what games were u watching.... thats absurd as for the OC ... good at best but when it comes to big games hes clueless ... same OC who decided to get in a shootout against the Pats with a backup QB instead running the ball and keepin Brady off the field.... Great Coach ....NO good coach yes ..... to be great is to win a superbowl and not go 1-5 in the NFC championship game

Carles not a shooter. He never really has been.

You could say the same thing to Coburn. Coburn could rack up a ton of points if he ever got his shot on net. He has a cannon. He may not have the vision or passing ability Carle has, but I just don't understand how he misses the net so much.

- mochoson

He doesn't shoot, he's not physical. Two aspects of a D man I would consider before handing over a hefty contract. I hope the Flyers do their homework before resigning this guy.

Just looked at the video clip and it seemed that MAB didn't pick up the trailer (Del Zotto) or the guy to the right of Del Zotto. He didn't look around to see what his options were. He just stared ahead and watched the outcome unfold.
- Flyer_Nation71

I saw it differently. He was skating back and essentially had to play a 2 on 1 on his side. If he moves to Del Zotto then the pass probably goes through to the Ranger on the far side for an "easy" goal. Couturier just wasn't able to get back in time to check Del Zotto. In any event I don't think MAB was clueless there. It was pretty much a no win situation, and really, it was a weak attempt that should have been stopped.

Speaking of +/- that wonderfully, improving, consistent Carle is a - player on the season. He's right in the Norris discussion without question.

They Flyers D in general isn't very good at hitting the net with there shots.

- ggunky

They had the same peewee coach as Wides. That's when you learn the basics folks...

Did Eli show you anything yesterday to help his cause in the debate with big bro?

Yes, but he was a few feet ahead of both Rangers you are mentioning. It didn't look to me that he was playing a potential 2 on 1.

so, it would be OK for Bryz to say the difference in the game is that the Rangers D was better than ours?

Rings aren't the end all be all. Trent Dilfer, Mark Rypien, Jim Plunkett and the like couldn't hold Marino's jock as you know.

Peyton's body of work is better than Eli's, I think Eli is mentally tougher and plays better in big games, which can't be understated.

Im watching one of the best coaching staffs in the NFL. Coach Reid is going to do everything in his power to take this team to the championship. The owner believes in him, thats why he still has a head coaching job in Philly.

Yes, but when Bryz is saying it, it's throwing them under the bus. The goalie has little confidence in the D and vice versa. They need to go to Banff and do some Hitchcockesque trusting exercises.

eh, I wouldn't worry about that. In 95 after winning the Cup and ousting Hextall in the first round in '94 they kept chanting "We want Hextall" in their series clincher of the Nords.

Guess what, they got Hextall and got tuned to a 4-0 series sweep at the hands of the Flyers.
