Not when it's the Devils.
- PLindbergh31

See, that is why dynasties are good for sports.

It creates that hate or love for a team.

Feel free to make excuses.

I don't make excuses.

Bryz allowed 2 weak goals.

- ggunky

I don't think it's excuses to suggest it was more than the weak goals that lost us the game. Not to say they weren't a big factor.

Possible three. I thought he played well until Gaborik scored and then he fell apart and his body language was very disappointing bc the Flyers were still in the game.

That goal with a couple of second remaining in the second was such a back breaker.

Then the Flyers tie it up only for Bryz to allow a weak goal that goes rite through him!

Why get a rental for this year. Realistically we are not winning the cup with this team. Why trade our picks for one.?
- Philly1980

Because I'd sign Gill for another year. He'd both solidify the backend of the D rotation and bring the physical presence we're missing. I'd be willing to part with a 4th to get that covered for the rest of this as well as next season. Probably not the popular opinion but that's what I'd do at this point.

That was the pathetic part. It's with seconds left in a period.

EL OH EL!

Why did Eli go into GB and (frank) Rodgers skull? He OWNED Rodgers all day and night. If Rodgers is the League MVP at home with a 15-1 team, why is he getting beat by a mediocore 9-7 team?

- PLindbergh31

Oh PUHlease the Packers, 49ers and Patriots graciously gave the Giants plenty of turnovers. Oh and a convenient TD to finish the run. Have fun with your WWE cough I mean Lombardi trophy.

The throw Eli made to Manningham on the sideline was unreal. The window to fit that pass was miniscule. Just an incredible throw, you can count the QB's in the League who make that throw in the pressure of a Super Bowl on a few fingers. I'm not sure Peyton makes that throw.

When Bradshaw scored with 57 seconds left, I was terrified that Brady would find a way to score, when that last pass was in the air, my heart was in my throat. A healthy Gronkowski may catch that.

- PLindbergh31

Exaclty how I felt. I was soo pumped that the G men won last night. Eli is clutch.. that's all there is to it. Won me 200 bones on a bet too! LOL

I still have zero idea how the Pats were favorites by 3.5 pts.. ridiculous. The Giants were on a tear.. they beat a 15-1 team with the league MVP in their own stadium, and also beat the Pats when they were at home earlier this year. How that translates to a 3.5 pt advantage at a neutral site is beyond me... oh well.. won me some money.

Im one of the biggest Bryz supporters but its hard to back him yesterday when I feel he let in some soft goals. I still think he did a nice job until the Gaborik goal and then his game fell apart imo.

Yep. He was off to a great start, but that doesn't matter if you let in a couple weak goals They ended up being the difference.

agrEEd.

I thought Bryz was starting to put things together alittle bit over the last stretch of games.

Yesterdays game was big in so many ways and Bryz came up small.

In statement games I want to see the money players play like the money players.

There is no "sugar coating" it those were bad goals. Those two-three goals were basic saves that should be made by a goalie. Thats the reason Leighton and Boucher are no longer rostered with the big club.

A guy they could use. But at what cost? And wouldn't he only be rental?
- bradleyc4

yeah he is a rental which sucks because I think he'd be a perfect fit for a couple years.

Goose and Regehr would be exactly what the doctor ordered for the Flyers going forward for a couple years IMO

Congrats on winning some $. The spread kinda puzzled me as well. I think the Giants have the better personnel, but the Patriots had won 10 in a row heading into the Super Bowl, and have the Brady & Bellichick combination. That's probably the basis for the point spread.

Then we should also be talking about how Giroux posted one with a wide open net and how Carle let Gaborik get that puck. This place really is Hell for goalies sometimes.

The Patriots beat two teams at home.

The Broncos who have no offense and an average defense at the end of the year.

The Ravens who play good defense but offense struggled down the stretch.

The NYG beat Atlanta, GB, and SF who were all playing good ball. The Giants should of been the favorites but the overall record had to play a role in that line.
