Look at these lines...again...today.

Morrison has been banished to the 4th line after 2 games. You now take Bolland out of his comfort zone, 3rd line, and have him centering the 2nd line...Why? Because you don't have the guy to maximize the return on Sharp and Hossa CONSISTENTLY.

This is Quenneville's way of hammering a LARGE GONG in Bowman's ears. Anyone else catch Q and McDonough chatting at practice? Think that there isn't some sort of division between Q and Bowman? Think again....

Bowman is back to covering his ass, using the media to deflect the criticism off him for not addressing the needs. It's absolutely hilarious, yet pathetic at the same time.

Can't wait to see what transpires after this season ends....Heads are going to roll.

Finally someone understands and gets it. STAN BOWMAN IS NOT A GOOOD GM!!!!!!!!! We can get worked up all we want. But name a good move he has made!!!!

The last 8 teams he played for talked of upside too. No thanks...

I remember he was a first round draft pick and was part of the Erik Johnson deal. Why has he bounced around?

Barker for Leddy.
Versteeg for Stalberg.
Signing Mayers.
Signing Hossa over Havlat. (Tallon was still the GM, but I assume that was a Bowman move considering all the drama with that).
Replacing Savard with Q (Again Tallon was GM, but that also seemed like a Bowman move.)
Trading Brouwer for 1st rd. pick. (yet to be determined, but I think Danault will turn out to be an amazing trade for the Hawks.)
Signing John Scott (Just kidding!)
Getting rid of Campbell which will make this team continue to be good for many years.
Frolik for Skille (which isn't quite as good as we all thought at the time)
Can you put drafting Kruger as a Bowman move?

We need an agitator and someone that can cause havoc...Sean Avery? Thoughts.

Not Avery. He sucks at hockey. The Hawks dont need an agitator, they need physical power forward and a top 4 or at least top 5 very physical D man.

Hossa over Havlat, Tallon all the way. Dale tallon made the cup team. Versteeg is better than stalberg, plays PK, PP, can be a top six player and he FIGHTS when nedded. Q was another Tallon move. Dale Tallon knew he was in the hot seat and made stan bowman look like god. Frolik/Skille is a toss up. Brouwer is missed immensly, Campbell...tough because we need him but in terms of salary logical move. Kruger hasnt showed his true potential yet. That answer will come in two years.

I'm actually a fan of Avery's (dude knows his role) and he definitely doesn't suck at hockey...he is probably unerrated when it comes to his hockey skill.

However, I would take a pass on him for the Blackhawks current situation.

This is a great response. Lets see what Bowman and Son do this trade deadline. They have the cap space to acquire what the Hawks need , so we'll see what they do. If they fck this up then i'll be first in line to light the torches.

haha so Versteeg has 5 total fights to Stalberg's 2 and in more years...yet you put that in caps like it is a big deal?

Really hard to even try to grade Bowman's trades with Ladd, Buff, etc that whole summer because his back was really against the wall.

Barker for Leddy is the huge winner at this point. I think the Frolik for Skille one is a winner as well. Really those were his two trades that Bowman has made with roster players and with his back not against the wall. Pretty decent in my eyes.

Anthony Stewart just went on the waiver wire. He probably won't make it to the Hawks, but should the Hawks pick him up if available? One more year left on his deal at $900k.

EDIT: He is 6'3", 230 lbs, has 6 goals and 7 assists, is a right handed shot, and is +4 on a bad Carolina team. NO BRAINER, but like I said, he will likely be picked up right away.

- hawks2010

Sure. Sounds like Brunette is going to be done for awhile and I think Stewart would be better suited for 4th line duties over Brunette anyway.

Jimmy Hayes for a 2nd round pick is another good move IMO

I'd like to have Brouwer on this team still but it would have been useless anyway since Q would never give Brouwer any slack at all.. One bad shift and he'd be demoted to the 3/4 line for the rest of the night.

Brunette is actually traveling with the team this week, so I don't think it is as bad as expected.

Didn't see that.

Damn. Brunette hasn't been terrible (minus being slower than me) but a true 4th liner needs to be in that spot IMO.

It's just getting a little ridiculous about how Bowman needs to go out and get that stud player for the Hawks. I mean, why is Bowman not offering Bickell for Shea Weber? That would make the Hawks a cup contender. Is he that terrible of a GM? Or maybe Frolik for Shane Doan? I mean that is obvious a no brainer. Why isn't he making these trades?! I am going on to my playstation and making that trade happen on my NHL game, so why can't Bowman do it!!!!!!!!

These same people would have blown up the 89 Bulls after they got swept by the Pistons. Pippen and Grant are not good enough. We should have traded them!

I think Avery can play. What has he really done besides insulting some people off the ice and raising his arms in front of Brodeur? Maybe he is bad in the locker room but at least he hits and crashes the net and is not afraid to break a nail.

your giving bowman credit for things tallon did

are you working for bowman or a family member?

your positives should be negatives

after all bichell is not injured and his contract is more friendly

Never thought I would see someone write we miss Brouwer....but hey if someone can say we need to bring back Huet as someone did the other day I guess everything is on the table. Unloading a mammoth salary like Campbell's is alone a great move. I thought it would never happen and it will help the Hawks for years to come. As I've stated before I think Campbell is a good player but not at 7.2 million.

1. You are way off....This "core has already won a championship, so you're 1989 Dan Bernstein comparison holds no water here.

2. He vastly overpaid for Frolik and Crawford. Crawford by 400K if you look at a comparison to what Howard has from Detroit. Walsh took Bowman to the wood shed on Frolik. 2.6 for what? 4 goals and the good ole college try? The guys' stats were skewed thanks to playing top line minutes on crap Panthers teams.

3. Nobody is saying to blow this team up. But to sit here and think all they need is 1 d-man is a g-damn joke. Unless that D-man is a top 4, which A) I don't know of any available, B) if they were, they'd cost a TON to get.

4. He has 2.75 tied into a 3rd pairing D-man in Montador.

5. Leddy has a hit wall. -10 overall, and now on the 3d pairing. Q is now playing O'donnell with Hammer, as he's trusting a veteran not to make the same mistkaes Leddy was making that was killing this team. Yet Keith gets away with the EXACT same mistakes, yet nobody says a word....

Barker is at best a 5th defenseman. Getting a top tier prospect like Leddy was a great move. People forget Leddy is only 20.
