Not someone I would want but I understand the attraction. I put Nash in the same category as Lecavalier. I'm thinking someone like Morrow, Doan, or Getzlaf (laugh away but I think he could be had for the right price). Maybe a second tier guy like Parenteau, Gaustad, Jackman, MacKenzie, or Moen.
But what the (frank) do I know. Is there a better defensive alternative out there?

All BS, seeing as how we are talking about positions we don't really need how about Coho-Shneids and a 1st for Carey Price
Anyone else notice the fact that we need defense, BADLY.
Not to mention the fact that we would have to ship Ballard out for one of these forwards, thus putting us further in the hole. Anyone remember what happened in the SCF when we lost Hamhuis?
Come on people......

Overpayment. If I had to choose between Schneider and Price, I would choose Schneider. Not sure I would trade a prospect like Hodgson straight-up for Price either, unless goaltending was an issue, which for the Canucks it isn't.
Anthony Stewart could be a good acquisition for the canucks he is tough and versatile. He could play on any of our top 3 lines and fit in and could be obtained for a cheap price.

Im sorry, I tried to read the blog but couldnt. I almost never comment negetively about what the blogger has to say but I couldnt... Bieksa came up with a last minute heroic goal to push for overtime...I'll give him that. He completely sucked for 55 minutes and was the reason we were behind like he often is. A classic tee up by Bieksa in front of the crease after a selfish act at the face off....he gave it up to the Avs 4rth line.
Maybe I'll try and read the blog. It didnt start off very honest tho....

I haven't seen his defensive game as of late .What I do remember he would jump in instantly if a player was being roughed up. And he is only 800k - vancouverdawg
Yeah, I think I've seen him get beat up by Jason Jaffray.

I read it....
When Bieksas needed the most he shows up...sometimes...usually NOT. He shows up in contracts years when he needs it the most. - boonerbuck
When you're right... Bieksa is mostly crap. He doesn't fight enough and he is suspect defensively. I love it when he gets mad and plays like a bully, but it doesn't happen often enough. He's got some big game in the offensive zone from time to time, but even that is frequently forced and often results in turnovers. I'd rather have a mean Dman making very little money and a skilled Dman making a bunch than see Bieksa try to be both. However, he's here now and you've got to love his last shift of regulation. It's a treat when he's good!

Look for the #Canucks to add some toughness to his line-up. Thinks team needs to be more aggressive, and needs to be able to defend Sedins.
If Juice wasn't on the Canucks would you? - CanUSA17
Again, I'm on topic. What about you?
I've been talking about all kinds of stuff on the last three blogs and prospects page. What about you....you just wait for your opportunity to get on a Canucks fan's case. Your usual and only contribution....
