The two big names are Schneider and Hedman .You need a gaolie and we need a Dman they are both 1 st rounders. We don't have to deal Schneider to the Bolts there are other teams interested, if you want to remove those two names,it's fine.

Raymond for Downie is a wash.
Malone is a salary dump for TB they have been trying to peddle his salary all year so a first round prospect is fine.

I'd look at a Raymond for Downie swap if Raymond can prove that he can still bring offense. Such an enigmatic player. It's frustrating to see a guy with so much speed not be able to create a TON of offense. Maybe one day his hands will catch up to him. He seems like a really good guy; he deserves it.

You're missing the Super Bowl to make up rumors? Don't worry, we can live a day without made up garbage.

*sigh* see this fine site you're spending your valuable leisure time on? That is Eklunds baby. Can I say piss off? Cause I wanna tell this wanker to shove it. Wait, can I say "wanker" and "shove it"?

That is fine.If the fans are patient then do so draft and develop. Like I said there are other teams interested in Schneider like CBJ PHO NJ

I see the strength of Schneider and by all means, I think you'll get a haul for him. The question I have is who will be the first "domino" to fall. Harding, Bernier and Schneider are seemingly the three guys that everybody wants a piece of. What's the market going to be for those guys? To me, it's all determined by the first guy. (Bernier vs. Schneider is a little more comparable IMO)

His best days were with Grabner.

That was the Kesler, Grabner, Raymond line if I remember correctly? That was one incredibly fast line. An absolute riot to watch.

Who knows if we don't win this year Gillis may decide Schneider is our goalie. The thing is ,to get Schneider before TDL it has to be a very great offer, otherwise we would hold onto him for insurance.

What's your take? As a fan, do you want to see Schneider or Luongo long term? Based on reading CDC I'd guess that most fans are on the Schneider side of things?

Sell us Luongo?

I would keep Shneider, Van is a contender as it stands now. If something happens to Luongo you still have a goalie that you can trust to start games in the playoffs. That's why I wouldn't trade Rask or Thomas this year, unless it was for #1 overrall or a superstar. If Canucks are in the finals again and Luongo bombs, they put out Schneider next game with confidence.

- Symba007

Mtl still have 11-12 years to win a Stanley Cup. 1993+30=2023. If you guys win the cup before 2023, it's success, if not, epic fail like the Leafs, atleast thats what i heard. Better Romour than Ek's eh?

Exactly.I would think it would need to be an over the top deal to move CS.

risk it all

I still smile every time I think about what happened last summer. First time in my life, and I'll never forget it.

I used to joke that I someday get amnesia so that I can watch Eddie Murphy Delerious for the "first time" again......I don't ever want to forget the feelings i had when my Bruins won that cup.

Let it ride.

I have to agree .Look at some sport franchises going 50 to 100 years with no titles.I think if you are close and going after your first one then risk it all.

In terms of Toronto, I would have to pick the second option because as others have said, although we are competitive now, we still need that big #1 centre. We can't go crazy and sell the farm Burke's built up and screw ourselves for the future.

Hey I was hoping someone could please help me. I posted a blog on myhockeybuzz, but it only appears if you search the tag Jeff Carter and scroll to the absolute very bottom. How can I make it so that people see it? I would like it on the front page where it would actually get read. I think its pretty awesome, so please help. Thanks

The Leafs should get Carter. Colbourne, Gunnerson, First Rounder, Jessie Blacker should be enough to do it, Maybe give them Purcy or Mckegg if they need more.

Eklund: The Super Sunday Great Debate: Win Now, Risk All Or Slow Build with a Shot?
- Eklund

"John Shannon from Sportsnet confirmed having talked to a relative of Nash's on the possibility that Nash would be willing to consider waving his no-trade clause. He confirmed it as possible."

So John Shannon (who showed his brilliant insight during the Canucks intermission yesterday by saying Cody Hodgson was slow and that Booth was not not working on the Canucks 2nd line) chased down a relative of Rick Nash's who said it is "possible" that Nash would waive his NTC. Sounds like a done deal to me!!!
