You're missing the Super Bowl to make up rumors? Don't worry, we can live a day without made up garbage.

If they trade Nash and Carter and recieve aroun 4 or 5 top end prospects, they have the number one pick in the draft, JUST BUILD YOUR TEAM HOWSON. The guy is a bonehead. He can get a good team in a few years if he just trades away Nash and Carter
- Richieattack18

Prospects are never guaranteed. He could also end up worse than right now if he trades them. I think he should listen to offers, but he should tread carefully.

The bJs would have to add Johanssen to that deal to get our future vezina winner.

Nash, Johanssen + 1st for Schneider and Raymond.

Are the Sens still "definite buyers" now that the wheels have come off their wagon, and every team in the conference has a half dozen games in hand on them? Just curious.
- WayneZ

LOL,

have to say i knew it was just a matter of time for the over achieving sens to fall back to reality...reality is they should sell.alfie and spezza, michalak, stock the cupboards while you can.we remember what hapopened to the leafs and the gay muskoka 5.

I hear Toronto is gathering the DNA from a collection of the greatest players ever to lace on skates in order to build the perfect hockey player just like Cobra did to build Serpentor. All so they can get Sam Gagner.

To Toronto:
Sam Gagner

To Edmonton:
Hockey super soldier
Kadri
Schenn
Monster

Sens and leafs are both in similar positions. Both have young teams. Both have a chance at making the playoffs but, stand no chance when they get there vs boston, philly or the rangers. If Spezza was older Id say dump him but, he WILL be there in the next couple years when the Sens actually stand a chance in the playoffs.
The Leafs have a better team overall but lack that number one center. They are in a tough position as for the trade deadline because, they have to give up multiple big parts of the team to get a single high end player. It is the type of trade that both Gms think that they walked away with an improved team. The only high end talent that leafs will likely get is underacheiving high end talent. At the end of the day Leafs don't have a cup contender, and the peice they pick up has to play better than he was on his previous team or they still wont. With the leafs having alot of young players Burke has to be careful that he's not trading chara and spezza for yashin.

Drafting & development has never been that team's strong point. That's a primary reason they're in the mess they're in now.

Completly different. Mccabe, Sundin, Kaberle, Kubina, and tucker.... Spezza is better than all of them except for Sundin (not even close). However at the time Sundin was in his late 30's while Spezza is in his late 20's. Leafs would have never traded sundin in his late 20's. They only wanted him out because he was the only one the leafs could get anything for.

OK, so we'll throw in Schroeder too. He can take over St. Louis' role in a couple of years.

You're giving us a top-tier goaltender and a player coming off a career threatening injury plus an unproven prospect for one of the most underrated, top defensemen in the game, a huge, physical top 6 forward and a gritty player with offensive talent that slots in anywhere in the line-up. Not a chance the Bolts give up Hedman.

The two big names are Schneider and Hedman .You need a gaolie and we need a Dman they are both 1 st rounders. We don't have to deal Schneider to the Bolts there are other teams interested, if you want to remove those two names,it's fine.

Raymond for Downie is a wash.
Malone is a salary dump for TB they have been trying to peddle his salary all year so a first round prospect is fine.

Top defenseman in the game? Wow. Isn't he coming off a severe concussion?

Malone is okay, but h disappears for long stretches.

Can't win without goaltending, you guyS are in a predicament.

Hedman has 3 goals and 5 assists. Those are Schenn type numbers, I guess he is a top defenseman.

If i were Buffalo GM, I would offer Miller to Tampa Bay for Victor Hedman. Hedman and Myers on the defense would be nice...

We have a young goaltender coming up in Dustin Tokarski. Yes, we're in a predicament but we also have a management team willing to be patient (very similar to yours). I have the utmost respect for the way the Vancouver franchise is run from top to bottom, including the fans. In general, it's a great group of passionate, engaged, knowledgable fans. But come on, at least try to be respectful here. Ignorant.

How many 6'6", young D-men play with a physical edge and great hockey sense on both sides of the puck? Not too many. Tune into some Lightning games and you'll see what I mean when I say the guy is underrated. He skates so smoothly and distributes the puck with such efficiency.

Please folks, listen to us Oilers fans. We've been watching our lads bite the pillow since the Smyth trade (you know, the one that should have cost Lowe his job). I'm here to tell you - YOU DON'T WANT NONE OF THIS!
You know that smell coming from the bottom of the standings these last few years? THAT'S US! We wash and we wash but we never come clean!
Most hockey markets aren't in Canada, and so can't afford to lose for 5 years straight to get out of the basement. Most franchises would have gone bust if they had put forward the dismal product we had to watch for years.
Even if your highly risky trade turns you from a playoff contender into a cup contender, there are still 4-6 other cup contenders. Will you mortgage the next 2-7 years for one ~17-25% chance at glory?

If so, we might be willing to part with Ales Hemsky I'm thinking your best prospect plus your first round pick and maybe a night with your sister just to round it out.
On an aside, I really gotta stop thinking of punchlines after I've posted. Story of my life.

That is fine.If the fans are patient then do so draft and develop. Like I said there are other teams interested in Schneider like CBJ PHO NJ
