You have to go back and watch the game tape during the last few weeks. He was outstanding when he got the opportunity to play. If we can pick some more studs during this years draft this team is going to be vicious on defense especially cause everyone now understands Juans schemes.

Actually much better is a stretch and you know it. now really I wanna be done with this. I'm utterly convinced this is a rigged sport and I'm dead serious.
- JoeRussomanno

Not a stretch at all Joe. NE wouldn't have gotten the ball back at all if they didn't allow the Giants to score. NE can't win the game if they don't get the ball back. The Giants were going to take the lead. It was just a question of when.

Apparently Casey "Can't make a tackle" Matthews is amazing according to Steve.
- Richieattack18

He wasnt very good at the beginning of the year but his production was better later in the season. Once he understood Juans defense he was like a vaccum in the middle. Nothing could get by him.

Burke does deserve a lot of credit for picking up Keith Aulie, Jake Gardner and Cody Franson. Carl Gunnarsson I believe was there before Burke got there but the point is, Luke Schenn is expendable because of these players.

If the Giants would miss the FG, what's the difference? Whether you miss it on 3rd down or 4th down. C'mon Joe.
- MJL

Hold my bad I got discombobulated on the last post. You don't kick it on third because if you make it you leave them with plenty of time to get the fg they themselves would need to win. It's simple really. Just like you don't ever let a team score. You make the opponent beat you. NE didn't Belicheck is smarter than what I saw and it totally convinced me on top of all the other evidence in these terrible playoffs that this sport is rigged.

That kick was pretty much an extra point. How many times do you see them getting screwed up?

What do you mean he struggled to get the ball up the field all game? Did you not see the 96-yard drive at the end of the first half? Did you miss the 15 consecutive completeions? Just because he wasn't throwing the ball for 25-yard gains every single pass doesn't mean he wasn't taking his team down the field. Hell, Manningham's fantastic catch ended up being the longest catch of the game and that was only 35 yards or so.

Brady is one of the best quarterbacks to play the game. He can read defenses and pick them apart. NE really had no other choice but to hand over the ball to Brady with just under a minute.

- KGBflyers10

True, in the end the WR's didnt help with the dropped passes. Brady did what he could

And they don't have to do anything unless the giants either score a fg or a td but considering they LET them score we will never know.

Dont be the Flyers played well today. If they can cut down on the breakdowns and the goalie makes a couple of key saves they win easily today.

No you don't Joe. When they kick it on 3rd down, they'd run the clock down to well under 10 seconds left in the game. Your missing something here. It was incredibly smart what Belechik did there.

Of course they let them score, every one and their mother who knows anything about football knew they were going to let them score. We were all talking about it in my house while watching, saying they needed to let them score. It was a no brainer.

Even the Giants knew it wasn't a good thing for them to score even though it worked out in the end.

We do know Joe. It would have been a gimme chip shot FG. Then the Giants would of squibb kicked. And Brady would have never touched the ball again. This is so simple.

I think joe does. schenn can't consistently crack the lineup right now in TOR. and saying he is less of a valued asset than j Johnson is wrong, IMO.
- isaiah520

ah something besides the Now Fake League. Anyway uh I remember what I said about johnson and no I don't want him anywhere near this club. LSchenn is a young player like most others on this team now who is rumored to be available. He has a lot of upside and I would be willing to take him on with the plethora of youth this team has and let them grow. Is that overvaluing him? I don't think so but I think bringing in a JJohnson only makes the problems with the defense on this team worse and compounds the problem thus totally contradicting the direction this team went last summer.

I agree with what you said. L. Schenn would be a very good player to add to this team. Along with someone eles

You know the arguement against that is going to be "look at his overall numbers and his gaa".

i've stuck behind Bryz all season even through the tough patches but today was it for me he seems like philly isnt his place yea its early but he just doesnt seem right.. i mean im not sure if Bouch let up that many softies last year... i love this team they do need a dman for sure.. If JVR can get u something great i'm all for it... i don't want any of the young guns to go... but JVR is the piece that will get u the most and i think we have enough depth to do it... but Bryz is just killing this team if i'm Lavy i start Bob for 4 or 5 games in a row

What was the distance on that FG by Norwood Joe? If it was a 47 yarder, and if the Giants were that far away, do you think the same strategy would have been used? You can't compare the two situations
