No question. You cant allow a goal like that however. Thats a basic save for any goalie from pee-wee up.
- stveshdy

He hasn't looked good on those behind the net plays all season. Just another thing to work on; the rest of his game has come leaps and bounds in the past week.

Flyers just need to try and rally around Bryz and let it motivate to play better.

Well time for the Flyers to get back at it. I dont see how thats a back breaker tho. If another goal is let in then its a back breaker. Flyers just need to get back at it in the 3rd period
- bigmookalookie

Agreed we owned them that period. Bryz...c'mon man...I root for this guy and stick up for this guy and this is what i get....send out the Gill.

Dude thats a back breaker. You play a great period and fight hard to get back in the game and that is just a deflating goal. The Flyers would of had all the momentum heading into the third. Now they have to fight back (trailing) against the NYR yet again.

He had the paddle down. the puck hit the paddle and bounced up, and found a hole. Unfortunate there, but it can't happen. Flyers have had some bad luck today. Schenn has a wide open net and the puck bounced off his stick, which probably would have been a goal.
- MJL

he reached forward which is why there was a hole. if he just stays compact and waits for the shot that hit's him and he covers it.

Bryz allowed a bad goal but he needs some help out there. I can't even count how many times I've watched a goal scorer get knocked down in the back of the offensive net, the guy gets up slowly while waiting for his chance and left alone just to score. I think I've seen Malkin do that on us numerous times. On top of this, the Flyers are getting chance after chance with an open net but missing. Schenn should probably have a Hat Trick.

I have no explanation. Keeps the paddle down and the puck rides up an through his arm. Watch Gaborik, he doesnt have a clue it went in

It was coming though. The Flyers played very loose in their own zone last 5 mins. And there was a touch of desperation in some of Bryz's saves.

Looking at replay- it does not as bad as I first thought. Rode up his stick. Not gap between pad and post.

- PT21

It was because he angled his paddle to stop a pass which is ridiculous. Then it rode up and squeaked through. Bull poop goal

Bill with the info:

In terms of trying to mount a third-period comeback against New York -- on fresh legs, much less tired ones -- you can pretty much forget it. The Rangers are 19-0-2 when leading after two periods this season and were 29-0-0 in those situations last year.
