I think the cap hit should be tweeked a little.

Example 1:

Sekera signed a 4yr 11mil contract.

If he were traded after july 1st he's only owed 6.25 mil over 3yrs. New team trading for him should only have a cap hit for him of 2.083333. Makes players easier to trade and get rid of the old team a has a high value cap hit with a low salary, so lets trade him to a team stuggling to reach the cap floor.


Example 2:

Hecht signed an extention in season for 4yrs 14.1mil.

Since this was an extention the old contract should be included making it a 7yr deal worth 20.35mil or a cap hit of 2.9 mil. Allows team to keep their home grown talent. The players still get their money, the team gets a little more wiggle room in the cap. IMO I don't think players care about their cap hit.


Just a thought and gets us closer to page 10.
