VANEKS A CANCER - robz228
In all seriousness, he's not a cancer, but I do think it does prove that even Vanek can be traded to make this team better. |

let's keep it in perspective...
the isles were a tired team...the sabres were lucky to get out it with a point much less two |

I will say this, when the score was 3-1, Miller played lights out for the rest of the game. Perhaps the first time since the Lucic hit where I saw glimpses of the team trying hard to make a positive play after he made a big save.
gotta give him credit for the second half of the game, ot and shootout |

Yeah, keeping all those goals to himself! Totally selfish player, maybe they just like leaving it until after the allstar break. Big TEst on Wednesday night, looking forward to it. |

Oh, I agree. My point, though, is, unless he's 21 years old or younger and putting up those kinds of numbers, nobody should be considered untouchable, including Vanek or Pominville. |

he was playing sluggish before the hit, but he has strung together 4 descent games in a row for the first time since the start of the year |

That's what we all have been expecting! ... and that includes the awful giveaway from Weber, leading to a goal... GRRRR

it is nice to see him play descent for a change, I grow tired of using his as one of the whipping boys

Possibly, but I still don't think a lottery pick is that big of a deal, especially this year. It's easy to get caught up in the hype when a guy like Crosby, or even Tavares comes out, but that guy doesn't exist in that draft. I know Yakupov is supposed to be a stud, but I am wary of the fact that Russians seem to have a "regular season only" clause in their contracts. Besides, like baseball, in the NHL draft, you don't need to give up an arm and a leg in order to trade up if you really, really like a guy in the draft. |
