I would definitely take Jason Pominville off your hands, and he would definitely look great next to Moulson and Tavares. Unfortunately, that would mean taking Okposo off of the top line, and he has been brilliant there since being moved up close to two months ago. Pominville would actually look great next to Strome next year when he makes the move up to the NHL, and since Strome is a playmaker, Pominville is exactly who we'd want next to him. Since the Sabres are struggling, it may make sense to take in some young talent and semi-rebuild around Vanek and your defense. How about this package?

To NYI: Jason Pominville and Robyn Regehr
To BUF: Josh Bailey, Calvin deHaan, Anders Lee, NYI 1st Rd Pick 2012, NYI 2nd Rd Pick 2013

That's a 2nd/3rd line center, a top-pairing offensive defenseman, a 2nd line center, and two solid picks. Plus, it gets some money off of your books so that Pegula can possibly invest in other big name players this summer. Considering the current mold hasn't worked out for the Sabres, unfortunately, it may not be a bad idea to clear nearly $10 million in salary and use it to acquire better fitting players.

If Garth (Snow) did that deal I'd be so happy, our top 6 would be insane and Strome would actually have talent around him next season!

He thing that makes that deal tough to swallow for the sabres is how disappointing bailey has been...
But that is a lot of potential coming our way with the rest offered
If u were to take stafford instead of Pommer, that'd def be a done deal... But I doubt you'd give up that much
And you'd prob have to take Leopold instead of Regehr (NTC)

Honestly I don't really care that much about getting Regehr, I mean yeah I would like him he's a great defense man but Pominville is a great forward and would be a nice addition to our top 6, I would take someone else like Leopold in the trade if that were to actually happen.

Also watching Bailey this year he's developed into a really solid penalty killer, something the Sabres are ranked 20th in the NHL in this season, so I'm sure that would help, along with the other players they have a lot of potential and that draft pick could get you something good out of it too.

Are you freaking crazy ?Our best winger and best defensman ?Ok maybe a desperate Sabre fan would do that .No No No why is it other teams fans recognise who our great players are but our own fans dont have a clue ?
- buffalo 1

That may all be true...
But I'd do Regehr for deHaan straight up...
That leaves pominville for bailey, a center prospect, 1st & 2nd round picks
Sir, you are crazy to call that deal crazy
It's actually pretty freaking good

Don't really follow Buffalo just know most of their guys and their record isn't all that great haha I just went by the stats on nhl.com so I wouldn't know who's hurt and if they were good penalty killers or not

Not quite sure, I like how Okposo plays with Tavares and Stafford hasn't been doing all that great this season. Maybe, it's an interesting one.

Pommers been the most consistant scorer weve had over the life of his contract.I think Pommers untouchable or should be.
- buffalo 1

And the fact that Pommer has a NTC would make this deal difficult at best.

No interest in moving Pommer I've always loved his game, he's brings everything he has to every game. He is an honest hard working player that can score.

from wgr:

McNabb said veteran Robyn Regehr helped make the experience much easier.

“He took me under his wing,” he said. “It was really cool to have him around. If I had any questions with hockey or anything he was really good. Anything from even passports or things like that. He's the one to go to.”

neither mcnabb or regehr should go anywhere, the sabres have no one like them in the system

I would move Roy, Boyes, Stafford or Ennis before I would consider moving Pomminville. There's a reason players appendage NTC's and NMC's to their deals.

The new GM should consider extending Regehr for two additional years.

You guys should try to trade for Hodgson. JT has nothing on him and has been living in his shadow all his life. Got to love Nuck fans.

i really think that the team looks pretty good on the back end in front of miller and enroth...

myers and mcnabb to go along with regehr and ehrhoff is a solid foundation...

the team upfront needs and enema, though

Its pretty simple. JT is a game changer. Like other stars in game he is dominant.

Guys can put 2 guys on him to stop him and it frees up KO and Moulson.

Nice to see all 4 lines playing hard.

the difference ROLSTON not in there slowing the team down. They better no be dumb and put him back in tonight.

Well said.......how awesome is it to finally have a premier player who can take over a game. The best part is, he gets it........he's such a good kid!

The greatest thing about JT is no matter what Toronto media say he loves it here. He believes in the team, and he wants to be the guy that turns the organization around. He will definitely be the next captain and I see him retiring an Islander.
