Interesting that the two trades Lamoriello made Foster, and Ponikarovsky are paying dividends. Foster has a rocket for a shot, and Ponikarovsky is a useful player. I think he has four 20 goal seasons. Both of these guys were acquired for a bag of dogpoop.

Foster with two goals today, and Ponikarovsky with the game winner. Amusing.

Foster had 2 goals in 30 games coming into today's game.

Just watched the Kovalchuk/Schenn fight again. I haven't seen someone rag dolled and dropped like that in a long time.

Bullying to this extent hasn't happened since the Dubinsky/Richards days.

But he was acquired for Pelley and Fraser, and our PP has been much much better since acquiring him. Ponikarovsky was acquired for an at best borderline NHL player and a fifth round pick, basically getting two quality players for nothing.

And Carle has two goals in his last 36 games. What's your point?

Devils lost both trades. Case closed. Fraser has had two goals in a game numerous times for Anaheim in games against division rivals, and the return Carolina got for Ponikarovsky has three game winning goals. Boom!

No. Carle is better in every aspect. Including having a much harder and more accurate point shot on the PP.

Yeah Poni has been good for us. Foster on the other hand has been our worst defenseman. He had a great game today but the last few games he has been terrible. When we are healthy I'm hoping he is only used on the PP, b/c other than that he is a liability.

He is definitely better, but I'm not so sure about having a harder shot.

I have to get in to practice first. And I refuse to play anyone who creates a "custom" team.....

At the very least he's a good PP player. That makes him more than useful.

Carolina's return was an AHL defenseman and a fifth round pick.....I mean I get the sarcasm, but it's not even being close to the truth.
