New member playing right now in our league. He's the Leafs and he's playing the Kings right now.

Claude Giroux is being asked to shoot more by his teammates and coach.
"I'm trying to shoot, but at the same time, I know if I make the pass to those guys, it's going to be in the back of the net," Giroux said. He does have 136 shots on goal in 46 games, which puts him on pace to shatter his career-high of 169. Giroux is also second in the NHL with 57 points in 46 games, so what he's doing right now is clearly getting results. That all being said, Giroux had a 12-game goalless streak going into Thursday's game and it took an empty net to end that slump. He's capable of doing better than that and he should in the final two months of the season.

Man am I excited for the standings this weekend. The Rangers not playing for 3 days is huge. Then the fact that the Pens and Bruins are matched up this afternoon is huge as well. If the Pens win, they still don't catch up to us and they put us ahead of the Bruins points rise. So many situations here.

Working today too. Not quite as bad for me since I can work from home. Should be able to catch the game if I can somehow stop or at least slow down the stupidity of some of our California team (although that's asking a lot!).

Much better off just using the force!

Shelley has played well the last couple of games that he's been in the lineup. And the Flyers are in no way short a player or playing with 11 forwards when he is in the lineup. You would think that an NHL Coach such as Laviolette would know that he's putting a waste product in the lineup and not choose to do so, over a player such as Harry Z, if that was the case with Shelley. Makes you wonder.

The game Tuesday night against the Jets, it was about 5 minutes in the 1st and Lava had someone (can't remember who) out in Shelley's place.

If Lava can't trust him 5 minutes in to the game he shouldn't be in the line up.

Not trying to get into a Shelley debate just saying if he can't be trusted by Lava at that point it makes no sense to have him in the lineup for 3 minutes or whatever he gets.
