bob was excellent early, but he's had trouble catching the puck, and gave up another bad goal through his blocker arm when the team needed that save. and then the bad rebound goal with under 1 second left. i don't put them being down by 3 on him b/c the team was horrid in front of him, but they need a wake up call. put bryz in. now.
- hammarby31

I hear ya but I still want Bryz fresh for tommorow. Give Bob a chance to get it together. The second goal should have never happened. This team came down from being behind Boston no reason they can't do it here and at least grab a point. If Bob gives up another crappy goal then by all means pull the plug.

i think it was a penalty. players today put tehmselves in bad positions all the time to draw a penalty because they know they will get hit or do it since they know they cant get hit in that position so its easier to hold onto the puck. i just think if they want to reduce injuries/conc. they have to stop players from putting themselves in that postion, something you learn at a young age

Parise wasn't in danger there. He knew exactly what he was doing there.

It seems that Lilja and Jagr are out... I think Jagr cant hack the NHL grind anymore
- bigmookalookie

He has looked his age for a number of games now. I was very disappointed that Laviolette went with him in the shootout Tuesday. We just have too many young guys with moves to not try them out. Jagr is very stiff looking.

Bullpoop they don't.

The referees caused Giroux to miss a wide open net a 5 year old would have scored into.

Doesn't matter that Giroux missed on that shot. That doesn't give any reason to not call an obvious trip that should have led to a 5 on 3 advantage.
- MJL

To not call an obvious trip that gives the other team a clear advantage and a 2-1 breakaway is really bad on the refs.

The refs look like amateurs today.

bob has been terrible today

Bob hasn't played a great game, but he's been far from terrible. The team on the other hand...

Apparently Jagr is injured. So it's down to 10 forwards.

I think the two games since the all star break he has looked great. Today, not so much.

Hartnell has a brain fart is busy trying to run somebody instead of playing his position. Flyers totally lost it there at the end. Not that I can blame him. The no call on Giroux was just criminal.
- MJL

they did. totally running around like idiots. obviously they were frustrated and should have been, but they needed to stay under control there. 2-0 is doable. 3-0 is going to be almost impossible, and will be if they play the same way the rest of the game. it's just another horrid afternoon home smoking where they are not ready to play. unacceptable.

Not one person has said that the referees had anything to do with Giroux missing that open net.

No, there just the reason why we didn't get a 5 on 3. There the reason why we got scored on shorthanded. No excuse for that.

If you look at the replay closely, you can actually see the ref move the net so that he hits the side instead of it going in.

Jagr is just not going to be the same player we saw at the start now that we are in the back end of the season...and there is no chance in hell he is able to keep up with playoff hockey

Meh. I'm not going to blame the referees in a period where the Flyers didn't compete. The score is exactly what it should be.

The Flyers should be down in the game, no doubt. But to say that the score is exactly where it should be, is BS.
