They're gonna need a shutout to win tomorrow.
- MrBuzzcut

Since they have only 1 in the last 150 games, I would say they are due, wouldn't you?

Can this get any uglier?

Bad miss by Giroux there.

- Marc D

I'm watching from a fuzzy feed. I saw that open net and Giroux shoot, I couldn't understand why we weren't cheering. Really bad miss.

Unless Bob completely melts down leave Bryz on the bench I want him fresh for tommorow
- JoeRussomanno

bob was excellent early, but he's had trouble catching the puck, and gave up another bad goal through his blocker arm when the team needed that save. and then the bad rebound goal with under 1 second left. i don't put them being down by 3 on him b/c the team was horrid in front of him, but they need a wake up call. put bryz in. now.

bob should of made that save, but you knew as soon as they went 2 on 1 they were gonna score.
- flyfan1212

Pretty much.

You are allowed to make plays that negate bad calls.

but they scored a goal? hartnell took a penalty after the goal? oh man that's harsh
- flyerscup2011

Refs are just giving away goals against the Flyers now, thinking that they're going to be scored anyway. I don't see a point to playing through the game anymore. Just say it ended 7-0 and call it a day.

Why?
- JoeRussomanno

Cause Biron will likely hold the Flyers to one goal tomorrow.

so instead of a 1-1 game. it turns into 3-0 in about a minute with the last one going in with less than half a second left off a bad rebound. lovely. just lovely.

start bryz in the 2nd period.

my lord we've seen a lot of 3-0 deficits in the first period in their own building.

- hammarby31

Hartnell has a brain fart is busy trying to run somebody instead of playing his position. Flyers totally lost it there at the end. Not that I can blame him. The no call on Giroux was just criminal.

Well, maybe Biron will start and they can win with two goals.

I still say there's something wrong with Giroux. He's not a step ahead of anyone anymore. He's not stealing pucks from unsuspecting opposing players. His shot selection or lack thereof is brutal.

If he buries the puck into a wide open net, that play is a non issue.

Referees have zero to do with the score right now.

Down to 5 dmen, and 11 forwards. I don't think Lilja played another shift after getting injured. Which may not be a bad thing.
- PLindbergh31

which forward is out, Jagr?

A player has the right to use his body to shield the puck. Jagr does it all the time. Parise accented it, but I can see why it was called.
- MJL

i think it was a penalty. players today put tehmselves in bad positions all the time to draw a penalty because they know they will get hit or do it since they know they cant get hit in that position so its easier to hold onto the puck. i just think if they want to reduce injuries/conc. they have to stop players from putting themselves in that postion, something you learn at a young age

I'm a bit concerned about the hit he took early on. He got up a little wobbly, but skated to bench fine.

That's a shot he normally doesn't miss.

Doesn't matter that Giroux missed on that shot. That doesn't give any reason to not call an obvious trip that should have led to a 5 on 3 advantage.
