Hemsky>Gagner. - Pilgor09
I'd much rather have Gagner. Even though Gagner has has his fair share of injuries, it's nothing compared to Hemsky. Also, Gagner has more heart. Our there picking up teammates being all bloodied up and poop. Gagner FTW. |

I'd rather take the gamble of signing him in the off-season. Even if that means he walks.
Cory Emmerton sucks, and so does a 5th round pick. - Pilgor09

Difference is that Hemmer has proven skills at the NHL level and Emmerton is barely proven 3rd line AHl talent

wow, you want a ppg player for picks or blum -who is a poor mans version of tom gilbert this year... good luck to scrapping into the playoffs and a 1st round exit... - saskoil21
No, what I am saying is that Poile isn't gong to give up prospects or draft picks for a player unless he knows that is the player that will make a major impact on Suter and Weber. And risking a trade on a player who has a proven history of injury is a risk even Poile wouldn't make. Now, if Poile added a condition that Hemsky played at least 20 more games, maybe the trade happens. Otherwise, Poile is going to put all his draft picks and prospects on the table and see what he has to give up to a true top 6 healthy forward and probably a proven big boddied D-man |

Yes they would, but just a 1st wouldn't be enough to get Weber.

That's messed up if you ask me. Horc and Nuge shouldn't be on the same line for obvious reasons. |

No . The difference is that he has been constantly injured since the second half of his first season in one way or another. I know you might see his upside value as very high, if he didnt have injury woes he would get a good return. My point is, with his injuries, inconsitencies and is plain not giving a sh1t when he plays, no GM in there right mind would offer more than a mid-round pick and a long-shot prospect. Ken Holland would probably slap me silly for offering so much for what? He's missed 100+ games the last 3 seasons due to injury.
EDIT: Id swap Emmerton with Landon Ferraro or Riley Sheahan |

AGREED! I'd much rather keep Gagner, but I felt that way long before this 8 point game bs. 1 game means (frank) all. |

As much I would be sad to see Hemmer go, I would be happy with that return and Blum would soon realize how great it is to play in Edmonton.
However, your analysis on our weather is quite off.
Along with Calgary, we have some of the warmest climates this year in Canada and its quite surreal.....today its currently +1 degree C and no snow still.
On the other hand, Ottawa, Winnipeg, and Toronto are colder and actually have snow on the ground.
Now off to play shinny hockey in my t-shirt.
Well the most speculated teams that Hemsky will end up with is either Detroit or Nashville. As a Nashville fan, I'm ok with this. I also think it'll cost us Blum and a pick. But like you said, no way in hell will it be Blum and a 1st. But Blum is from Orange County, I hope he can contain his excitement about that cold, cold city of Edmonton. - kypredsfan

Nuge will play the Center position, but Horc will take all the faceoffs. |

That will only last if Hall-Gags-Ebs produce again. If they don't, look for Renney to combo the 4 on the top 2 lines. |
