Just did a quick search on Spector's - Brooks was the first reporter to even mention Smyth since January 22, when Matheson wrote it was unlikely he'd waive.

I don't really care one way or another, just not a fan of Brooks

oh really? i dont recall the rangers ever leading the league in goals against in recent years.

part of that is the stronger play out of the defensive unit and lundqvist has gotten more rest because biron has been superb.

lundqvist also leads the league in SV%, tied for first in shutouts and second in GAA. need i say more?

oh yeah rangers are 3-0 against the flyers thus far.

EC is a shootout specialist. Perhaps a #3 center. Not a dominoe that would change the fate of the Rags. They are far too solid of a lineup to feel bad about losing EC, or feel the need to get Captain Canada. Or at least I hope.
