If the New York Rangers wanted to acquire Ryan Smyth, he would seriously consider waiving his no-trade clause, according to a New York Post source.

Man I dislike the Rags.

They are going to add a guy who can score. Right now they are a little reliant on 3 or 4 guys to score all their goals.

Would be 4 Championships in 25 years. That's a pretty good run. At 36 years old to see the Giants have a chance at their 4th Championship is pretty special. I figured out the other day I have been to 224 Giants games since 1986.

That is awesome. I hope the Giants pull it out again. Someway, somehow.

Is there any other team in the league that you dislike more than the Rags?

I worked at a Starbucks in Bethesda, MD when I was younger (got myself totally hooked on caffeine, but that is a different story) and it would piss me off to no end when some snooty sot would come in and ask for a specific number of pumps and a specific temperature on a drink...and probably 40% of the time they'd come back and complain about it even though it was exactly the same as the one you made for them yesterday. Two weeks after I gave my notice, on my last day there, I made sure every (frank)ing snootster who I knew as a regular complainer got a sub-par drink served with a side of (frank) you One guy, who was a regular douche, wouldn't move his chair about a one foot to the left when I was trying to politely clean the condiment bar (even when I carefully pointed out he was also sitting in the way of customers trying to use said bar) so I told him straight up that I thought he was a "rude complaining female dog" in those exact words (well exact before the filter ). He got flustered and spluttered that he was going to call corporate and get me fired...the most satisfying moment came when I smiled and said "go ahead, the number is there on the wall, but today is my last day". Other customers who knew me and him started laughing out loud.

Now Bodi, I ain't saying you're anything like this. Your "six pump" bit just reminded me of that experience. Don't forget to tip your barista

I'm very confident they will. I hate the fact that the Pats are the favorite in the game, yet everyone is picking the Giants to win. That scares me somewhat.

It's very odd with me, I'm always supremely confident the Giants are going to win every game they play, and the polar opposite with the Flyers. I guess history has a lot to do with that.

not me

the fact that people are seriously questioning if Eli is better than Peyton is beyond absurd to me

It's as absurd as people questioning if Peyton is better than Brady.

Absolutely. The Yankees are at the top of the list. Their fans are the biggest joke on the planet. The Yankees spend 50-60 million more then the next closest team every year, and their fans act like it's an accomplishment when they win. It's laughable.

The Cowboys and Devils are tied for second.

They spoke about that on local sports radio this morning. Could be the first 9-7 team ever to win it. Giants have been on a huge roll. History has shown that those kind of rolls usually come to an abrupt end just short of glory. I think it's different with the Giants though. They have the mental capacity to carry on I think.

Here's a bit of math for everyone:

# of Cowboys fans + # of Devils fans = # of Cowboys fans

I'd put the Pens up there. The Devils used to be, but I've softened on them since the last time the Flyers ushered them out of the playoffs in 5 games. Hard to really really hate a team in decline. Boston, on the other hand is slowly approaching full on hate status. If they were in the division, I'm sure they would be there.

You can't compare anything imo until both players are done playing.

Pats have actually won 10 games in a row heading into the Super Bowl. Last loss was at home against Big Blue.

Ya, but the Giants have had to play playoff football since two weeks left in the regular season. Normally that catches up with a team.

Eli isn't as good as a top 10 QB of all-time, he clearly sucks.

In the early 2000s when Boston stunk, it was Toronto, the Sens, and to a lesser degree Buffalo in that out-of-division hate role. Now I can't quite hate them as much either. Plus Toronto without Tucker, Domi, and Corson almost seems like a cuddly bunch
