We got guys named Bryzgalov, Zolnierczyk and Meszaros. They didn't mind, and it's usually the media that spells it wrong.

I don;t think anyone rational really felt that the Preds would be trading either guy, unless the offer was simply too good to pass up.

I expect the Preds to win tonight with Weber and Suter having great games and we will hear fans whine on here for the next 20+ days about the Flyers needing to trade for either Weber/Suter NOW which won't happen unless Homer loses a marble or two and there will be the most ridiculous trade scenarios presented as well.

Yes there is going to be a lot of talk during and after the game about how the Flyers should trade away the franchise for Suter or Weber RIGHT NOW.  As much as it kills me to say, I don't want the Flyers to make a big trade that involves Schenn and JVR.  At this point the only Flyer I wouldn't mind parting ways with at the deadline is Voracek.  Guys like Suter, Barrett Jackman, Corey Sarich, Hal Gill etc, can be signed in the summer for nothing.  The one guy I think can be had for a decent price is Shane Doan.  Voracek and a pic/prospect for Shane Doan!

Furthermore, Weber is an RFA. He's got at least another year and has never said he didn't want to sign in Nashville. Same for Suter. They are both intelligent and know there are options for players with their skillsets. Nothing to do with Nashville. Suter, Weber, and 2 firsts? Pick one of those three options...then maybe.

Giroux has proven anything yet. He had a great start but has really tallied off in the points department. He's still a great player when he isn't scoring, but if he can't consistently put up those offensive numbers, there's no way he's enough for 2 top defensemen, let alone 2 1sts on top of that.

You dont trade your teams 2 best players and 2 first round picks for Giroux. Especially when the two being traded are Weber (who is arguably the best all around d-man in the game) and Suter who is an exceptional 1-2 dman. Just would never happen.
