Bryan allen is nothing special...not much better than MAB.

Allen would be a upgrade over Bourdon in a number of areas. Including playing on the PK, shot blocking, and experience level

Probably not. But they may feel more positive about the future potential of other prospects relative to Marshall. They may have felt like Marshall was as good as he was ever going to get. Hard to say. Could have been lots of factors, including the trading partner's preference or desire to get Marshall. Either way, I'm not really sweating the loss of Marshall.

Plus, this way we can wait until he becomes a star on another team, then spend weeks and months proposing all kinds of absurd trade scenarios to get him back on the Flyers. Don't overlook that little bonus in all of this.

- BringBack25

Marshall will somehow find his way back to the show and will score his 1st NHL goal against the Flyers. It will be a game winning goal too. You know this to be true.

Exactly. He may not even like that song. Flyers better do the necessary due diligence before any additional trades or signings.

all true, but he's a glorified lug. kinda brings what homer thought we could get from lilja, but better.

btw, Lisa Hillary was just on CSN calling rinne, "peeka"...some Canadian, eh?

The first NHL goal part is a given. Not so sure about the game winner. Depends on whether or not his team's backup goalie is playing in that game.

In that context, "awesome" means "picked up the tab at the corner pub in Glens Falls last week".

Franks take

"It’s an interesting move for the Flyers, who traded a smooth-skating, potential 5th or 6th defenseman for the big club in exchange for a winger who has yet to really turn heads."

Not sure I like Read centering the 4th line. I would go with
19-28-68; 27-14-93; 24-10-17; 32-29-36

Hopefully that's the way it winds up during the game.

He's not a glorified lug. And doesn't compare to Lilja, who is a veteran 36 year old 6/7 defenseman. Allen is much younger, can play as a regular on the PK. And is one of the best shot blocking defenseman in the League. He can play around 18 minutes a night if needed. He would help the Flyers, if the price was right.

Who's Frank? Another misfit Philly reporter? He obviously doesn't know that Marshall is not an NHL caliber player.

I'd be interested in seeing voracek play LW. every time he skates the puck into the zone his shot off the wing reminds me too much of carter and i feel like playing on the off wing would make him drive the net more. Idk just a thought

Smooth skating? No.

Tough, scrappy, defensively responsible, good leader, hard shot; any of that I'd be okay with. Describing Marshall as a smooth skater just makes Frank look even more stupid, if that's possible.

He scored two games ago. He's at least 6 games away from doing that again.

I want to believe Flyers fans are smart but when I read some message boards i want to blow my brains out. And we are female doging and moaning about Marshall now. More than anything, i am annoyed that they just can't seem to draft beyond the first round.
