It is interesting that many are throwing Harry Z's name in trade talks. I'm not against moving Z but I'm not sure he has much value. In my opinion the only thing that works in Z's favor is his speed. He doesn't have size, he doesn't play on any special teams and he's nothing more then a 4th liner in the NHL. If we were to move Harry with the loss of forwards, I would think we would move him for another forward.
- Schenn2shine

I agree. I don't feel that he's a player that other teams would look at as a prospect to be anything more then a depth NHL player.

orrrrr he just wasn't in nhl plans anymore, they didn't want to qualify him this summer, so they get a guy to help the phantoms down the stretch (they desperately need help scoring) who is a ufa this summer so another contract slot for them.

How is it a step backward? This trade isn't about prospects. Marshall isn't in their future plans. The Flyers have injuries to the forward core. They are having to call up Forwards to the Flyers, leaving the Phantoms short at Forward. They Phantoms had 8 defenseman. This is a deal to give forward depth to the Phantoms. It's a shame that a 2nd round pick, if I remember right for Marshall, didn't work out. But that's life.

So Marshall is the only one of those 8 guys that could go then?? He's the only one who's played with the big club this season, no? I didn't think he was that horrible in the games he played. Not top 4 material maybe, but he's still a baby in terms of D men. I sure hope they have one or two other up and coming D men down there we don't know about.

Anyone of them could go. It was obvious to me that although he wasn't horrible, not an NHL defenseman.

Time will tell I guess. I didn't see enough of him to come to that conclusion myself. At least he had his full 15 minutes of fame if that is the only taste he gets. He was a mini rock star in 24/7.

Probably not. But they may feel more positive about the future potential of other prospects relative to Marshall. They may have felt like Marshall was as good as he was ever going to get. Hard to say. Could have been lots of factors, including the trading partner's preference or desire to get Marshall. Either way, I'm not really sweating the loss of Marshall.

Plus, this way we can wait until he becomes a star on another team, then spend weeks and months proposing all kinds of absurd trade scenarios to get him back on the Flyers. Don't overlook that little bonus in all of this.

That line wont get many shifts. No worries. If they are even a line.

I'm not going to sweat worrying that Marshall is the next "Patrick Sharpe". Different positions aside.

no center there so Sestito would be on a different line I would think.

are all three in the lineup tonight? None can play center so you are correct as one would have to be on another line (scary).

I tell you one thing. If the Flyers don't get a better forecheck and generate more offense tonight. Won't have to worry about who is in the shootout.
