i share your view. not sure how much you follow the other sports but if you do, how would compare the quality and style of coverage to that of the local flyers media?
- hammarby31

phils have a couple excellent beat writers in matt gelb for the inquirer and david hale for the news journal (paper in delaware). i don't know nearly enough about football and especiall not basketball to know how good those guys are.

it's when hayes, donnellon, sheridan, and all those other staff writers chime in that make me want to burn down the building at broad and callowhill. i would give an anonymous tip to rich hofmann before doing so, however. almost always like his take on things.

To be fair, there were questions earlier as to whether Gus or MAB would sit if Lilja played, so he gets a pass on that one

But yeah, nothing earth-shattering

I don't know who that person is that tweeted it, so they could have just made that up, but I choose to believe that's what Homer said

I don't follow the other Philadelphia nearly as closely as I do the Flyers, but I hear and read enough to know they've got a decent bit of drama. I really do not like the sports talk radio (although to be fair, I'm not much a fan of any talk radio).

I guess I don't like anything

Wow. I just noticed that the Flyers play 8 of their last 11 games of the season at home. And two of the three road games are in PIT, which is in their backyard.

Panaccio gets all the inside info. My favorite part is when they actually give him face time on Comcast during the games. JJ asks him questions that a 3yr old could answer and they act like its ground breaking news.

Putting Timmy P on camera doesn't do him many favors. He often looks drunk, lost, and generally confused as to why he's holding a microphone and talking into a camera.

they're .500 at home if you want to go by strict W-L. they're going to have to change that if they don't want to slide to the bottom of the playoff pack and end up with a first round date against the bruins or rangers.

Nothing longer than a few 3 day breaks the rest of the way. Games almost every second day, with about 5 back to backs.

I wouldn't mind Kimmo sitting out one of the games on the back to backs I think. Platoon MAB, Gus and Lilja the rest of the way.

Seriously. Not to be cruel but he doesnt seem to think before he says things. He just looks and sounds very uncomfortable but I guess hes trying.

But Coatsey doesn't flood the internet with poor sports writing, he realizes his limitations and thrives on them.
