K, I'm looking at the standings and I just need some clarification....
The top 4 spots in the conference go to the 1st place teams in each division?
With that logic, could a team do (frank) all the whole year and just beat up on their own division and make the playoffs in a top 4 position?
Am I missing something here?
If so, please clarify. - clarkysduster
You would have to win your division. And, there are only 3 divisions in each confrence. |

Opps. Right.
Still kind of foolish to give a bye to a team just because they're the best team in a bad division. |

yea...our team does appear to be gaining more experience and slowly developing which is nice to see. Great goaltending may be the difference between a few wins or losses, but it seems as though the team is starting to play well together and figuring out what each person needs to do to secure wins.
Its also nice to see Grabos line pick it up again...now if only Kessels line can keep on pace two, we would have two strong scoring lines! (thats to say that Grabo isnt traded, of course.) - noename09
Burke's job becomes more and more difficult by the minute. I see the wear on Kessel and Loops and I realize that for them to maintain that level of play throught a full season, they'll need a big, mean center. You know tho, I'm thinking they may not even need a superstar center really, I think a guy that bangs and can score some goals will be sufficient, wuddya think? |

they could have used the rest at the all star break.
we dont play til Saturday - so, hopefully they get some well needed rest and are FLYING on saturday, we need all engines fully blazing for Saturday.
we win that game were off to the races and ottawa will CRUMBLE.
the gbov line is on fire, if kessel and lupul start to score, look out.
nice to have reims back, and im sure that 0 goals allowed just gave him a much needed confidence boost. i say; play him Saturday. |

Good point bro. Morning BTW!!
Going forward we will need size with them tho. I think they may actually play with a little more chip on their shoulder if they have someone that'll back them up...
Yes, the Ottawa game is huge. I'm a proponent of win and you're in, so, for me, Reims gets the start. I just hope RW is very careful to not forget Monster if Reims catches fir again. Hopefully we can have both tenders playing at a hight level riding down the stretch. |

Pretty much every pro sport is set up this way, its to create rivalries and story lines. |

Pens fans seem to be making a big deal about Kessel's high stick on Letang. I know as a player you are responsible for your stick at all times, but wasn't the high stick a direct result of Kessel being cross-checked in the back by Orpik on the play??
I mean Kessel put his arms up protect himself after being cross-checked from behind in the "danger area"... Good non-call by the ref, if he saw it the same way that I did. |

I think that they need someone like Kopitar.... Lups, Kopi and Kessel would form a dominant first line....
Given their all-star performance, maybe we should trade for Seguin...? |

I'm sure that being given second star of the night doesn't hurt his confidence too much either |

Give Reimer another shot at the Senators... Hopefully the Refs will have enough of a clue to not let the Sens use Reimer as a seat this time around. |

Lupul especially looks tired, and if I have one quibble with his game, its along the wall in his own end. Just not particularly good there at clearing pucks, etc. Kessel was flying for most of the game in Pitt but was quieter last night. |

Letang was one of my favourite players until I got to see him live and in person cry like a little baby because of a bloody nose... Slapping his stick on the ice in anger, he played like a child the rest of the night.
He likes to dish it out but cant be on the receiving end. |
