Yep! I said, I'd like 4 to 6 points out of these three games. Tho we won't see 6, I'll be super satisfied with 5 and happy with 4

they are riding poor anderson into the ground...48GP already - Dozzer
And you have guys like Yost saying that you have to play Anderson in the must win games...which now for Ottawa is EVERY game. They'll play him into injury I have a feeling. |

When you're only major reason for winning games is your goalie being able to keep you in them, what else can you do? |

Although I wont be upset with four, I think we need 5 if we truly want to start making a solid push. |

Yes, I want 5. I'm kind of looking at every 5 game clip and thinking they need to be in the 6-8 point range out of the ten avilable. They're last 5 r working out well, as they're already at seven. Playing like that (With swings to 6 and even hopeully ten) the rest of the way will get us in 100%
They may lose some that we expect them to win, they may win some we wouldn't expect them to win. I really like what this year's been for the Leafs, if they continue what they've been doing they'll be playing extra hockey this year.
Also, I think the team is learning how to win games without relying on goaltending which is a real plus! Reimer made some solid saves, but his D kept Pittsburgh to the outside for the most part... |

The problem is a goalie will never admit to being overplayed...we've seen that with Luongo, Brodeur (in the last few years), Kipprusoff. There has also been little doubt that their play slowly gets affected as we get closer to the playoffs, and into the playoffs as well. Another goalie I'd be worried about is Lundquist. |

Leafs played a perfect Road game last night (@ home). Riemer played solid, but man did he look small and shaky in the first 10 mins. Nice to see Mac have a fire lit under his ass again, Gravovsky continues to impress and man do i think it would be a mistake letting him go. Grabo`s agent is in town and has said he would really like to stay in Toronto. Lets hope he takes a home town discount a la Liles.
Super stoked for Saturday vs the Sens. Its such a pleasure watching meaningful hackey again!

if you hope to run deep into the playoffs you should only play your starter for 50-55 ish games.. 60 max
might make it through the season ok but come playoff time.. they're burned out
problem is these modern day bonus laden contracts.. the more wins they get the more money they gain.. so no goalie will admit to being burned out.. you are 100% correct |

If we can get him signed at around 4 mill-ish for 4-5 years, it will be a great deal for the Leafs. He's a great second line centre who can step up and create chances when teams are cheating and focusing too much on our top line. |

Someone should share my pain
this coming weekend for me went from
Going to the Leafs/sens game to Going to Tremblant for the weekend to now going to a dinner party the wife because both of those plans fell through and she accepted an invite for us... and I have to figure out a way to watch the game and the fights on Sat night.
any ideas? |

Sign Grabo. Minus the bonehead play at the end of the game in Pitt, the guy's been great. He's very durable, tons of heart, and he's just a fantastic #2 centre. Hopefully the Leafs can continue on this trend and be a playoff team. Longer term at centre, one more year of Tim Connelly eating up our cap space, and then we will land our big fish, right when this group will be very cohesive. As for this deadline, I still think it will be JVR. |

Watch them on line on your laptop. You can get both the game and the fights through the link I got from Frenchie.
Works great, just be careful. |

I love Burkie, but the lengths he goes to defend Wilson boggle my mind.
His friendship with Wilson is clouding his judgment and holding his team back. I don't understand why Cherry isn't allowed to be critical of a coach who hasn't done a thing for this team in 4 seasons.
If there's one thing that's bothered me about Burke's time here, it's been his blind loyalty to his buddy, despite the lack-lustre results. It's a shame because Burke's got a good thing going here with this team. - Leeman4Gilmour
Burke is defending his employee not his friend. Burke is a true leader. The only people allowed to bash his team is him. Burke is the guy who everyone wants to work for. He may be a hard ass, but if he comes down on you, it's between you and him.
This whole thing with Cherry is a distraction, but Burke wants the Wilson bashing to stop. Cherry has a great deal of influence with the fan base and he puts the microscope on Wilson and some other Leafs. Cherry is an ex coach he should realize how the media effects the team in today's game, he should tone it down a little.
